Yes I think you could, your plant is large enough. Small plants in veg usually are then ones that you shouldn’t. Just be sure she dries out well after that.

So flushing it is I’ve already prepped my water. 6 gallons between 6.3 and 6.7. My plant is in a roughly 2 gallon bucket. I actually drilled close to 200 holes in it to mimic a pot that allows maximum air to the roots. Will 6 gallons be adequate for flushing or will it take less? Also why is it not allowing me to reply to your comment @Covertgrower. I clickthe reply button on your comment but still only skieshows as if I commented. Trying not to tag you a million times in our little conversation.

Shouldn’t need much more than a gallon. You’ll want just enough to catch a cup approximately. Enough to get a reading. Keep in mind, that if you were to flush that much water, you’ll need to feed, otherwise you’ll get deficiencies.

Good thing I did. Now I’m actually flushing run of was at 5.5 and ppm was at 1850…shame on me

It was definitely a ph issue. I’ve not a ph meter until two days ago lol. My regular watering was going in somewhere between 7.6 and 8.4. Just flushed it out and now my ph in my run off is right at 6 going in at 6.7. Now to just wait and see if she bounces back. I’m sure she is slightly mad now with soaking wet feet. But I got a fan helping that @RoDeezyDoe these spots seem to be much darker almost a brownish black

Oh wow. Yeah thats a big swing in ph. Once its been corrected for a bit just pay attention if it gets worse id look into what i posted. It starts light but gets darker.
Most of these spots showed up as dark right away. I’ve been Growing since germ with a ph tester and it’s finally got me. My fertilizer finally caught up and lowered the soil. When I started the flush the soil was down to 5.3. After two gallons at 6 7 it’s up to even 6.0 but i don’t want to put anymore water through it just yet. Ppm came down to 900 after the very last of the run off was checked

Well i nuked my poor girl. It doesn’t seem to be getting any worse as I flushed on Friday. It just looks bad to see all these brown spots. @Hellraiser @Covertgrower @Josh1126

Make sure you feed again after flushing.

@Covertgrower The last time I checked the runoff when I flushed the ppm was still over 800. Tomorrow she should be dry enough to water again. I should have never started growing without a ph tester…

I don’t know what is happening with my soil but the ph just would not come up. I had to run 4 gallons of ph 7.0 water through this plant just to get my runoff up to 6.3. Hopefully it can hang in there for a few more weeks until time to chop and I can still end up with some decent buds… @Hellraiser. @RoDeezyDoe @zee

I think you’ll be fine, soil ph generally gets lower the longer the plants are in it. By mid-late flowering, my runoff is probably in the 5.6-5.8 area (been a while since I’ve checked) without causing any problems.

I did a half ass slurry test i guess you could say and that checked real well right around 6.6. I just scooped out a couple tbsp of soil and fill the jar with the same water I used to water with. Would that be somewhat reliable?

Slurry tests can often be unreliable as the ph in the upper part of the soil will not be the same as the bottom of the soil, really need to get down in there. The water used should be distilled or very clean RO.

As bad as all the leaves are looking up top all the foliage hidden under the canopy looks surprisingly healthy still. Thankfully though it’s not the leaves I’m growing for…

The day after a heavy watering or flush can be scary at lights on. The girls woke up to 70% RH I’ve been pretty successful at keeping the RH around 40 but all that moisture is coming out. Should maybe leave the exhaust fan on a higher setting overnight after heavy watering/flushing.

After the ph fix… had to raise from way too low…these ladies just keep on growing. Hopefully I can get them through to harvest without more problems. Gotta get some DE later today fungus gnats that’s all I’m gonna say about that haha. No big issue just that two is two too many so I’ve probably got 200 too many. @Hellraiser @greenflex @zee @Covertgrower. I’ve really seen some better green color come back to the leaves that survived the ph issues. Nothing special but I am glad I was able to save them because in two days before I flushed them i watched then go from healthy and happy to IM DYING!! puts a little confidence in my future growing skills to figure out an issue (with tons of help see @'s lol) and turn it around.
