Grow Mentorship

I have started trying to grow my own cannabis at home and have had very bad results over the first couple tries. I tried 4 hydro DWC plants at first, 2 of them got sick and died during the vegetative stage before I was able to deduce what was wrong with them. The other 2 made it to flower, but got mold or fungal infection and I had to harvest them early. All told, it took about 3 months to get from seedling to cured bud, and it only came out to 7g total.

I’m on my second go around, this time I tried soil and it has been going just as bad. Constant issues with maintaining humidity and lots of problems with pests and nutrient lockout. I started 2 plants, cloned one of them after 4 weeks, and now have 1 in the flowering stage, 1 mother plant that is very unhealthy and her 4 clones all made it.

It seems I just can’t get this right. Is there anyone out there that offers a mentorship program or something like that? I’m really just wanting a step by step guide on which products to use and when. I’ve looked for these online, but all the ones I have found just give general tips (don’t water too much, give it plenty of light, bat guano is good for nutrients etc.) I’m really wanting a guru grower to just tell me what to do and when to do it. I’d be willing to pay for a mentorship program. Just getting tired of all the guesswork required and getting subpar results.

Yeah, midwest said it. Make a thread for your personal grows. Document what you are doing. Get the right tools.

Good light - most important piece of the puzzle
Good soil if you stay with that for awhile
Good nute line
Understanding the basics is key for new growers.
pH pen and PPM/TDS pen so you know how much you are feeding her and how much she is eating.

This sounds like it would be right up @Lostgirl 's alley. She loves telling folks what to do and “exactly” how to do it.

You can also find a grower on here by searching threads. Once you find someone that grows how you would like, ping em and see if they will help. Most if not all of us will help if we can. We love seeing a new grower go from struggles to an awesome harvest.

As mentioned start a journal. Most of us troll through and comment when we are sure of our answer. Many have been here years and we are polite and try not to step on someone answering when they are correct. You will get replies with deeper info from some who have direct experience with your issues. This forum is well moderated and we respect each other. NEVER take offense from conflicting answers. Different grow styles for different people. Use the answers befitting your style. Pass on the answers not truly relevent. Most of what you will get are multiple choices. If you see 5 regulars say the same thing then bank on that answer.

I totally get it. :v: I’ve actually went from seed to harvest with a couple of people. It’s incredibly time-consuming.

Haha. Back in 2014 - 2016 I was the best BF3/4 main battle tanker in my state. I was ranked something like 36th in the country and 768th in the world. There are some talented cheaters outside the US. There are only something like 192 countries out there.

Grin. I am support. As soon as i show up the assault and healers join my squad. If i join a squad all support change to sniper/medic/assault. I spot. Keep ammo down. Am a SLAYER with artllery and stay with the squad. Typical KD is 7-1. Been solid with it since it came out. NEVER played anything but support so just muscle memory now which is devastating to others in FPS play.

I absolutely sucked as infantry.

As infantry it was still fun to C4 tanks at times. As a tanker I know how to exploit a tank’s weak spots.

@Quivln If you choose living soil I would be delighted to get you started. My basic style is very user friendly. Requires no expensive gear but the lights. No measuring. No runoff checks. No ph adjust unless under 5 or over 8. Water. Ammend monthy. Watch tv. When I began this style my plants shrank. After I mastered it i can hold tight with all but hydro. Just let me know. Once began correctly this is a water/train only grow. PHOTO to start. Not auto. Learn photo then auto all you like. Just my thoughts and offer is out. You will be directed to a few threads with our top living soil guys here. ALL of us are here to help. Get fellowship. Have a place to dismiss stress helping. You are in the right spot.
3x3 just flipped.

I also suggest you make this thread your journal. A mod can change the title. You already have some heavy hitters responses. They see you.
