Quick question - measuring my runoff on the two plants late in flower I found my ppms/ec is extremely high. Ppms are between 2500-3500 for both. Being so close to final flush what would be my best approach to get these babies across the finish line with the best results? I’m thinking 3-4 weeks before harvest right now so maybe 1-2 weeks before final flush. Pictures above were taken at midnight (lights on) last night.
2500-3500 is high for me. I had damage on plants that were at 3500+. I am in an amended coco, though, not an amended soil like happy frog and worm castings. I would water for the time being until it drops a bit. Are you actively adding nutrients?
Not anymore just using ph water at lights on tonight. You think it’d be fine to use bloom booster only (3.5ml per gallon of AN overdrive) to help the buds pack on weight? I think only raises ppm to 200-300 range with my 90-100 tap water.
I don’t know much about advanced nutrients line. I’ve only every used the ILGM nute line. The risk of having high ppms is nutrient lockout or nutrient burn. At 3500ppms the soil is loaded with nutrients already.
Very true - thanks. What’s your ideal ppm range for last few weeks before haversting or flush? 1000 - 1200ish?
Yes, I like to keep it between 1000-1500max.
Perfect thank you for the insight! Gonna work on getting them closer to that range.
Almost a week into flush (3/9/19 flush date) for smaller plant (not to discriminate, she has large dense colas)… planning on flush other plant this weekend. She wasn’t ready last weekend but caught up over the past week in trichome color.
2nd plant finishing up flush (back right) - should be ready to harvest by weekend. 2nd crop (only one female out of 8 ) 5 weeks into flower looking good. Had a ph issue 2 weeks in but corrected and the issue has not spread. Looking like she might be my largest yield yet which I accredit to not screwing up quite as much. Next batch just placed into flower… rocking and rollin
Plant that was harvested last weekend is looking good. Temps and humidity has been steady 48-52% rh at 59-62 degrees F. Hung whole for a dry trim but planning on removing some of the larger fan leaves to insure adequate air flow and steady drying process tonight/tomorrow… I’d rather it dry on the side of too quick than too slow…
Smaller plant is finished drying, completed final trim and loaded into quart wide mouth jar. Going to burp daily for a week then I’ll load into pint jars for long term cure.
I’m thinking 2-3 oz which I’m more than happy with as next plant is much larger. Can’t wait to see the next round that’s in flower now start to show buds… better genetics and environment should render noticeable results.
Well done!
Harvest congratulations!
Cheers all - this is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in a long time. Right at 3 oz on smaller plant when dried (2.77 + 1/8 sample)…
Next plant was harvested last weekend and is currently drying. Much larger plant… my guess is 5oz but I’ll be happy with whatever it brings. Defoliating a few that are in veg tent to prep for flower. Will add some pics later tonight. 3rd plant is probably a month from flush so want to finish strong… she still shows signs of ph issues early on in flower but all in all looking really good.
Shoot, looking good! Nice job!
I’m loving the blue dream, everything about it is robust and girthy… large branches, large stalk and large leaves… can’t wait for it to put its power into producing buds. I can tell my plants are healthier this time around, greens are more lime in color vs the dark hunter green leaves I had last go around. I think over using nutes (especially nitrogen) hid the terpenes a bit from first batch but it’s poor genetics so who cares - glad I did it on free seeds vs 6-12$ seeds. Want to get some ilgm genetics (granddaddy purp, gelato, and egsc) but can’t quite pull the trigger due to a) extremely high costs and b) cc method is frowned upon… anyone had great results sending cash to attorneys office in us?
