you are so very welcome and never hesitate to ask any question. whether or not it’s about your grow, equipment or any other factor in your grow that you have. especially ask if your considering an equipment purchase prior to purchase to see if it will meet your needs. those who don’t without prior research or questions usually waste their money. Unfortunately yes. I’ve been through this a few times and just tossed a 
300 watt. I have 1 HLG 300 and a SF100 in my 3 x 4. A lot of manufacturers will mislead they’re lights coverage capabilities
18/6 is what I run my autos on, have used 6/2 on 1 run. If you don’t have a light meter, I suggest the PHOTON App for your IPhone. Different growth stages require different levels of light intensity and can only be measured with a meter or the app. I guessed for 2 grows and it showed 
I just installed the new light. I have also downloaded the PHOTON app and ran a test. Looks like I should be somewhere between 45,000 to 60,000 and I am showing 54,642 so hopefully things will look up. Really appreciate the the guidance! (Wonder if I can get a tan in here!!!

Hi Molly! others will chime in hopefully. congrats on your light purchase. i was looking at the specs for your light and according to your lights documentation it says it can flower up to a 3x3 area. i think you said your tent was a 4x4. you may need to combine those lights together that you have or stay with a smaller plant count, say 2 plants under that light maybe. others hopefully more light savvy than me will chime in. i see you also got the photone app for your phone. that’s what i use. might be easier to go with DLI on that app. here is a chart for you
Hello! Yes thanks for catching the tent size, I will probably only do 2 plants at a time for now. The top leaves are turning yellow/brown so Im going to adjust the number of hours of light to 12/12. Thanks for the DLI chart, I will give the day light approach a try. My next investment is a ventilation fan. Any thoughts on the best size or place to purchase one. I see sizes 4, 6, 8 inch. Thanks!
i use an A C Infinity 6 inch in my 4x4. i have no filter on it and blowing directly outside the house. others may tell you an 8 inch fan is needed but the 6 inch will suck the sides in on my tent as it is and that is with the output of a 4 inch fan blowing in there exhausting from my smaller 2x2 tent. it may also be fan brand dependent as to it’s ability. the a c infinity line comes well recommended i think.
you are running auto’s i think you said, why 12/12? they would be better off on 18/6. they aren’t like photoperiods where a 12/12 schedule is necessary to make them go into flower. your auto’s will be better off with that 18/6. will help them stack those buds up better.

I have now started the harvest process of my first grow. Going into week 10 for an auto flower and cutting the buds with milky and amber trichomes in lollipop form. I have learned so much and appreciate all of the help provided, thanks! Now ready for round 2 !!
