Here’s this mornings defol…still could’ve taken more but had a dentist appt and my hands and forearms were getting sticky and didn’t want to smell too strong while having someone so close. Sure enough, even after alcohol and dish soap and a hot shower I still had a faint smell of cannabis goodness wafting through the exam room. Hahaha. I still need to do more.

Yeah man…I love this sh!t. I am floored how well this grow (my second) is going…I’ll need to be patient as well…6 more weeks?! hahaha It will be worth the wait. I’m starting to work on drying and curing…I need to be ready for this volume. I’m thinking a couple 3 gal buckets with gamma lids for curing but not sure what I’ll do for drying. I’d like to do it in the tent but I seriously doubt they will all be ready at the same time. I really have been considering a 2x2 tent or slightly larger for drying/vegging…but I dunno.

@MaD-VapoR it’s funny you say that, I went to work one day after a trimming session and had washed my hands with dish soap like 2 times and then took a shower, sure enough I still reeked because when I took off my gloves at work it’s like the smell had been waiting for an opening and it was like bam! Instantly stunk up the place I was like “well damn” 
I don’t care personally but I love to be discreet about smoking in all things 420 if I can and this was not discreet.

I’m lucky the dental hygienist is very cool. We talk politics, covid, etc…everything I don’t talk about with people. lol She didn’t say anything, but I know for a fact she could smell it. Hell…I can still smell myself sitting here typing this…ahahaha

Just ordered a far red bulb from hlg…and forgot to use DUDE! Dammit!
@hellraiser You use these right? I read a few reviews and people use them before lights on as well as after lights out. But the instructions say after lights out. What do you do?

Call them! They were great when I talked to them last week. Dude wouldn’t work on the website when I was looking at the 260 so I got on the phone and they couldn’t apply it… they upgraded me to 300L with full warranty for the price I would have paid on the 260 without the code.

Yeah I did use it on one grow and then loaned it out to a local grower friend who won’t give it back (he loves it) so I bought another and will use it on the next flowering session.
There are different uses for far red and what your goal with it is, will determine how to use it. My focus/goal was to see if it could speed up harvest time. I just followed HLG’s recommended use of running it 3-10 mintues (I settled on 7 minutes - right in the middle) after lights out and running a 13/11 flowering light schedule. It made the Gorilla Glue plants ready for harvest right at 8 weeks and my control plant - a Cherry Ice Cream clone finish in 9 weeks instead of the 10 weeks she takes normally. So I feel it did speed up harvest times by a week or so.
I used a dual outlet independent programmable timer to run my main lights from 7 am to 8 pm (13/11) and had the far red come on for 7 minutes from 8pm to 8:07pm, worked great, though those timers can be a pain to get setup and working.

I have a good strip timer for everything so I may just get another smaller one that I was using (sold the other to @dankloud). Won’t be turning on exactly while the other light is turning off…you think that’ll matter? I can’t imagine with some tinkering that I can’t get it within 30 secs.

Yeah that would be fine, I was just anal about it and wanted it timed perfectly which is not necessary, just cool LOL. I remember the first night after getting it all setup and as 8pm rolled up, the main lights clicked off and the red lamp turned on, was fabulous.

That’s the exact one I just put in my cart. haha Same brand as my strip timer too…and same as dankloud has now. Good timers. I need a couple extension cords too, so today is electrical shopping day.
