@AoteaGrower I sent an email to Cody…from Jacks and this was his response:
Hey xxxx! When mixing final dilution, the fertilizers should stay good for 1-2 weeks. I think you will be fine, especially since you are keeping the nutrient solution moving.
Thanks,
Cody
Not sure what nutes you’re using though…??

sweet, thanks for that. im using cx nutrients dont know much about it but we are quite limited on what we can get here in New Zealand. i dont have a wave maker so ill just be shaking it 2x a day haha

I only make 4 days worth of nutes at a time as I like to be able to adjust my nute mixture from what the plants are telling me so I don’t want too much premixed sitting around, but autopot and auto-watering guys go a couple weeks without much of a problem, just keep the water/nutes moving and mixed and adjust ph as needed.

You can also use an air pump and stones, or a water pump, or even a power-head from the fish pet store. just keep it moving, don’t let it get stagnant - that’s when it gets nasty.

I hear ya…I may only make enough for 2 feeds then. Still a time saver. Thanks.

thanks mate ill just use this batch up and stick to mixing one feed at a time as i dont want to be investing in a water circulation set up just yet. looking forward to seeing how they respond to thier first round of nutes though.

I had some nutes in a bucket for my houseplants and I forgot to plug in the wavemaker, after a few days with no movement the bottom of the bucket was growing some funky red algae.

Well, between that and not being able to change recipe I’ll stick to a weeks worth…which is 2 feeds for now. Not sure how often I’ll need to feed in 4 or 5 weeks, but I would imagine every other day is gonna happen. lol

Day 74 (18):
Added some mosquito bits then Fed tent girls 2 gal water pH 6.6 then 5 gal 321 and 4ml/gal silica. Then split a gal of recharge between them. I watered today instead of waiting like I usually do and it’s always too dry. Had a little too much runoff so I’ll cut back on how much gets used and continue to feed a little earlier. I don’t have my holding tank ready…water machine was down last night so couldn’t stock the tank.
I think I’m in a bind with plant height so may have to snap a couple more necks tomorrow along with a good defol.

@Hellraiser Any issues with super cropping 3 weeks into flower? I still have a couple that are reaching.

Nope, just bend them girls over as needed. At 3 weeks in, they should be about done with the stretch though.

They are pretty close to finished with stretch…much less growth. BUT!..I am literally out of room and the tops are a touch too close to the light. Tomorrow I will use some zip ties to tie light directly to tent supports and will gain about 5". One top right under the light is showing some light stress…leaf serrations are sticking up and some minor leaf discoloration. Maybe I should have flipped at 7 weeks. lol
When you ran MH/HPS…what distance did you run during flower?

I always tried to keep the light 24" over the canopy when possible but there were times that it was more like 12" for the ones that just got a little taller than I planned for (LOL seems it’s been that way for many grows now as well).
Yep, that’s what light stress looks like.

Did some defol…I think I could’ve kept going but not really having done this before I’d rather take less for now. I really climbed in there and took most of the old fan leaves and a few sucker branches that won’t amount to much. I tried to open up light pathways and eliminate any leaves that lay on each other.
Hooked up the dehumidifier and working wonders already. Humidity has dropped almost 20% in less than an hour. Should’ve done this a month ago.

You could make a pillow with all your trimmings lol

Probably could’ve been dbl that…lol
Canopy looks like hell…couple tops that were bent over haven’t turned up yet. And there is still a couple I haven’t bent yet.

A little outside girl action.
Both seem happy but the gold leaf has a little tip burn. Must be sensitive compared to tent girls which have shown no nute sensitivity.
Gold Leaf:
Cherry Pie (the runt):
Both of these were culls due to their size and glad I didn’t get rid of them. Seem to be doing well so far…not ideal but they are wanting to produce for me.

Day 78 (22):
Fed this morning Silica 4ml/gal, Jacks (btw I am using the feed schedule for full kit, not 3 2 1) and last of the sample of fish sh!t @ 5ml/gal. I may get a bottle to finish up this grow…
Stretch is over, the bent over branches are all turned up again and was going to bend a couple more over and was pleasantly surprised at the stickiness that has started overnight. I see some trichome production on leaves around bud sites.
Dehumidifier is freakin’ amazing…it does very well when set to 60 so tank doesn’t fill up too fast. I may hook up the hose to it so I don’t have to worry about it and then I can set to 50. Not a bad $90 purchase (new price is ~$350)…love the selling apps…you can find good deals on used anything. Anything. Haha.
Pics tomorrow…in a rush since I forgot I had a haircut this morning. Ugh.

Stuck my head in the tent this morning and pulled the last of the runoff out of the pans. More stickiness and more smell. This will get interesting in 4 weeks or more…hope I don’t need a carbon filter…neighbor is ok but really don’t want them knowing.
Couple photos…in separate posts for easier zooming. You can see the sticky starting on the leaves.
