Plumerias…these took forever to take root and finally turned around when I put them in happy frog. Actually bloomed for me late last year.

Plants look like they are loving the sun!

I had to be careful the first couple of days…was a little much for them in the beginning. They have adjusted well and love it outside! I wasn’t going to do many updates on them but they seem to be doing so well I’ll continue to share their progress.

Day 71 (15):
2.5 gal water pH 6.6 first then 5 gal with full strength 3 2 1 with 4ml/gal silica and 4ml/gal fish sh!t pH 6.5. Had right at 2 gal runoff and there will be more when I get home from work…still draining.
I NEED to get a dehumidifier ASAP…yesterday had me stressed out with RH spiking like a mofo…did my best to keep it down but eventually gave up. Today it will level off to the usual 50-55.
Drum has leftover RO in it now and I’ll be getting more over the next couple days…I’m shooting for 4 feeds…so ~30 gals for tent. Couple more trips to Primo machines.

Pics tomorrow…ran out of time…have to get to work.

:v:

Oh…the critter watering hole has attracted many ducks…we had 3-4 that would always stop by to eat every morning, but today there was 7 of them. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Hellraiser Couple of questions…I’m now in week 3 of flower now so should I stop silica? Or use less…like taper off? And on nute storage…do you pH after the 30-40 gal batch is made or do it on demand as I need it? I can’t remember if Jacks solution will drift…

I keep giving silica til end of week 5 of flowering on 8/9 week plants and end of week 6 for longer flowering plants.

I only check/adjust ph after nutes are mixed if needed (usually not as I use enough tap water to make it perfect 5.8 for my coco). My Jacks mix starts off at 5.8 and climbs to 6.0 after a couple/few days which is close enough that I don’t adjust it.

Well dang! I thought I read somewhere to stop giving silica at flower… So thats what I did… :man_facepalming:

Ok then…I can mix my usual 4ml/gallon silica in the drum then. Good thing is I know what the tap to RO ratio is for zero up/down with Jacks 321 and silica. Almost 25% tap gets me to around 6.5. Thanks man.

A little higher up in this journal they were talking about stopping shortly after stretch. I thought I would ask specifics…just for clarification.

Yep I go about 25% tap for my plants in potting soil to get 6.5 ph with Jacks as well.

I still have to add drops and I do 25% tap :frowning: Thought about adding more tap, but I don’t want to go too crazy with using too much non RO water.

Depends on the silica for sure…you’re not using it right?

@Covertgrower So how’s the research going? I finally started looking around again at espresso machines and grinders and while I’m not sure these are the exact models I was looking at 10 years ago, they are pretty close. I need to get back on coffeegeek again…maybe my login will still work from 10-12 years ago. :joy:

The espresso machine is comparable in price to the one I was looking at. La marrozzoco? I think yours comes with more options than the one I was looking at. Both units you linked would be a great pair in the kitchen.
The roasters I wanted to compare the air poppers a little more. Trying to find more brands to cross compare. Seems like the drum style is the most popular, and some of the most basic which isn’t a bad thing either.

This is the one that I started on…I should still have it somewhere. They have improved it and it’s doubled in price.

I was just wondering if they still made the old automatic transmission funnels?
