btw im watching and hope to learn some too
I’m 4 days behind you with my OG Skywalker grow ![]()
Good morning ILGM community. Start of week 3
Temps are staying around 70 - 75 degrees. Rh hovering around 50-55%. After what felt like a slow start, all 4 seedlings are doing well. They got their first true watering yesterday and the soil still looks pretty wet so no water for a few days.
Thanks for stopping by. ![]()

Looking pretty!
looking great ! also big win for yall in happy valley huh @SilentHippie
It was a big win, I’ll have to admit, I was nervous. The Lions played a great game
Great start. Love the babies!!
Ok I need some opinions folks. I’m transplanting this weekend into Kind soil. For those not familiar, the Kind soil goes in the bottom of the pots and is topped off with promix. I have a half bag of Promix Bx and a half bag of FFOF. Do you think I could mix the two together to use up the leftover soil? My theory is since the intensity of my Quantums will cause faster nutrient uptake, the leftover FF soil will add a little more without overdoing it. Any thoughts?
I have an unopened bale of Promix Hp but I’d like to use up the open bags.
Sounds legit, probably won’t know for sure if you don’t try.
I don’t see why not.
Thanks guys and gals. Just needed a little reinforcement.
I mix a similar media with EB Whites Organics which should be similar to what you are doing…
I would go for it. Like you said xtra nutes.
Good saturday morning growers!
We transplanted today and everything went off perfect.
Kind soil in the bottoms of 5gl fabric pots topped off with a mixture of FFOF and Promix Bx.
We’re now in the 4x4 side of the tent under 2 Horticulture Lighting Group Quantum 260xls.
These lights rock! I have them dimmed to their lowest setting and set at 36" above the tops of the girls. If you experienced Qb growers have any advice on height and intensity please jump in. I’m going to watch for stretch and possibly turn them up a little.

You’re probably higher than you need to be if you’re running dimmed that low. But since you just transplanted, probably not hurting anything. Drop them about 6” in a few days. Then go something like 4” every few days to harden them off. I would assume you’ll be fine vegging them at somewhere between 16-20”. Once you get there, you can gradually increase dimmer to continue hardening.
Probably no reason to get them over 75% while vegging. And definitely increase the intensity a little faster if you notice stretching more than desired.
These lights are so bright that I wasn’t sure where to start. I also wanted the seedlings to get used to the new lights and recover from any shock they may have encountered during transplant.
None of the plants were rootbound so I don’t expect them to miss a beat.
Yup sounds good
Good Monday morning to everyone. We are about a month from sprout and transplant seemed to go fine with no issue.
The plants are loving the qbs! They’ll all get topped this week. I’m just waiting on the super Silver Haze to catch up a little. She’s lagged behind from the beginning but she should do fine.
Thanks for stopping ![]()
