Gorilla cookies seed spent 48 hours submerged in some water with a plash of peroxide and hasn’t offered to pop. Got it moved to a paper towel and some paperplates now chilling above my lights power supply. Should be warmer than anywhere else. Gunna give it till tomorrow and if i still dont see a tail im probably gunna punt and try again. Sucks though, thats the only one of those seeds i had 
. Guess i better start looking through bean box and see whats up!

Abu I use the promix (red bag) moisture control and add 30%perlite or better yet vermiculite. Just so ya know. Works great in 10 gal. , water every 3 days if not more.

Yall got me second guessing . I thought the promix would be cheaper than the FoxFarms. I wish i could find some 1cu ft bags. I aint trying to spend $50 on soil for 1 grow lol. @Growdoc @RightAway whats the difference in the red and the white bag?

My biggest readon for wanting to switch was to have more control over ph and ppm throughout the grow. I know ill have to start feeding sooner with the inert soil but thats just because it dont have the salts the foxfarms has right? So white bag?

Dealers choice. I’d based my decision off of price. It wouldn’t have any more nutrition, then fox farms.

I was hoping for less. But heck the last bag of FF i got only tested 600ppm out the bag. Im gunna do some digging this evening and see what makes sense for my set up. Id still like to do one grow in the Bar harbor blend just to see!

It would probably have less but who knows. If transplanting into it, I don’t see any big difference. You wouldn’t wanna start directly in it because soy will burn seedling started direct to soil.

Just for the sake of not messing a run up i may just go ahead and do the bar harbor blend on this this next run. That will give me 3 more months to really get dialed in on what all i need to use a peat based soil. Also im gunna have to buy a bunch of soil for the tunnel so i may can get a deal on it buying in bulk later on.

Im planning on starting in one of the solo shot glasses with a jiffy plug and then transplanting into a 1/2 gallon pot with the soil and some Dynomyco for a couple weeks. Then into a 10g bag for a final home.
I gotta go check that seed! I stubbled upon some bubble hash and forgot i have responsibilities

You should use what your comfortable with but Promix gives you complete control over feed and such, it is inert, I start feeding them when they go to solo cups, just a light mix of Jacks at about 200 ppm. I’m most comfortable in Promix because I can correct deficiencies, which I don’t get with Jacks, and ph problems can be quickly flushed and fixed if necessary. I did have a ph rise on this grow but a quick flush and feed adjustment and good as new. No fungus knats is another perk. You’ll have to find your niche, that’s includes medium, nutes, additives, etc. I’ve grown all different mediums and nutes, Promix and Jacks for me inside, compost and Osmocote outside. I tend to stick to what works best for me in main room and try new shit on the side.
