Grow #1: Blueberry x Big Devil Auto

Starting a journal for part of my first! I originally planted this, but the seed cap got stuck on and it didnt make it past the seedling stage. I ripped it out, reused the soil and am trying to learn from some of my previous mistakes… Here’s where I am so far!

Equipment:
Mars Hydro 2x4 tent
Mars Hydro TSL2000 Light
4 inch inline fan
6 inch oscillating fan
Humidifier (On the way)
AC Infinity smart controller

My Soil setup is basically bottom 1/3 FF Strawberry Fields, middle 1/3 50/50 Happy Frog/Ocean Forest, top 1/3 Happy Frog

She just sprouted 8/25 for reference and was watered today with about 1.5 cups PH 6.5 gallon drinking water… the top 2 inches of soil seemed dry for about a day or so. I watered even though she didn’t seem droopy to keep soil moist… At what point do I begin to water her to runoff?

My light is set a bit high, but at about 80% I get 320 PAR. Heat tends to be an issue, especially in my area so it typically pushes around 83 degrees or so on average in tent until the sun goes down. Then the temp drops to around 75-77 on average in the tent. Humidity stays consistent at around 50%. I do leave the tent door open to help combat heat. I also run an 18/6 light cycle with a lights off time from 10a-4p so that lights are off during hottest part of day.

Once the leaves reach the sides of the pot is good a time as any.

Same here. 85 would be the point of diminshed growth so just do your best to stay below that.

18-24 inches at about 50-70% is good for seedlings, either that or 30 inches at 100%
Looking good!

Just a quick mid week update! Going forward I’ll probably be updating 3 days a week (Sun, Wed, Fri).

She seems to be flourishing! The tough lessons I learned don’t seem to be repeating themselves. No stretching, slow growth etc…Still business as usual; soil is still moist so my next water will be Friday or over the weekend when needed. The light has been bumped up to 100% and she doesnt seem to be having any burning etc. If you look close, she’s getting her first true leaves  Haven’t watered to runoff but based off of some others, my PPM seems to be around 1800 into late veg/bloom so I shouldnt have to add nutes. Unless you think differently @Docnraq ?

Nope. You will be nute free till week 4 at least. By then you will likely be watering to runoff so you will know where you stand each time untill you need to feed.

She looks good.

Sorry for the late update; wasn’t feeling too well earlier this week. No big changes… A few more leaves and some nodes/leaves developing underneath… Just watered today for the first time since Monday (6 Days). Soil seemed dry yesterday, but waited 1 more day to be sure. Approximately 1.75 cups 6.5ph.

Just a quick picture update! No new changes and soil is still moist since last water.

Just watching and watering… watered 2 days ago… about 2 cups.
She’s getting a bit bushier… Next water will be the first full water to runoff I estimate. Pistils are just now starting to show.
@Docnraq Any opinions on topping or LST? Or should I just let it ride?

Bottom leaves are getting a few brownish spots and are drooping, but I’m just attributing that to lack of light.

Id suggest for your first run just let her ride. Get a feel for the grow process first.

If you want to.ignore my advice Id top at the 5th or 6th node down to the fourth.

I agree, I’ll let her ride out and feel out the process… I also took advantage of my extra space and planted a Caramel Cream

No big changes! She’s getting a little bushier. Watered yesterday about 1/4 gallon and next will be to runoff! Some of the lower leaves are wilting a bit, but to me it looks to be from lack of light/ being blocked by upper leaves

Thoughts on trimming away some of these lower leaves that are blocking branches from coming through? I’ve got one on each side

Made a post on instagram about this not too long ago.

Everything seems to be all good. Tucked a few of the larger leaves earlier in the week to make room for stems to come through. Watered to runoff for first time today. 6.8ph in/ 5.8 out 1340 ppm

Water only next time, 6.8ph 300-350ppm
