Brother, them vibes sure helped. Dr said he wasn’t too concerned it was cancer. Still got some more test, but emotionally feeling better.
Now that’s some great news!

Great news!!
This getting old crap is getting old.
Happy that you got some good news.
You gotta be tough to get old.
@Grandaddy013 glad to hear you feeling better. Question are you still using jacks or did you switch nutrients?
I’m in a 4x4 tent like always and I got a flora flex 730 led light has a 5x5 veg footprint and a 4x4 flower footprint
Still on Jack’s. Is there something better?
@dbrn32 I’m looking at PPFD meters. Prices range from $30 - $600. I just want to check my lights to try and get this foxtailing issue under control. Any suggestions without breaking the bank?
A meter isn’t going to fix an issue with foxtails. There isn’t any single point where being above will produce foxtails or being below won’t. It’s more like when you have genetics that are susceptible to having foxtails that increasing light intensity will usually make them more prevalent.
The biggest thing to consider with par meters is the calibration band of the sensor. Usually the inexpensive units are fairly accurate when measuring traditional light sources but sometimes have a hard time differentiating some of the wavelengths present from the more modern led fixtures. To get something that provides a clear representation across the entire spectrum could be rather expensive. If you’re just looking to have a reference point I wouldn’t spend $500+ on a par sensor.
@Low the one you use is photo bio right? How does it work?
I believe I use the same light meter as @Low but can’t find the exact on eon amazon right now. This is very similar and the price range i bought mine at

the photon app works great on my iphone with the purchase of the full spectrum LED measurement for $5 and some heavey weight bright printer paper for the diffuser or pay $20 to get the real diffuser made in switzerland…
I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on. No foxtailing for years. Now the last 4 or 5 grows have done it. I’m pretty sure I’m probably the problem.
Thanks! I didn’t realize you had one but that does indeed look like what he uses.
Yes I use the photo bio meter but I’m pretty sure all of the meters that look like it probably use the same components. Basing this on similar costs- assuming they have the same cost to build. Wouldn’t be surprised if they came from the same place and just got branded differently. Who knows. The one I’m using seems reliable and accurate. It’s help me dial in a decent sized footprint. One of my favorite tools, but I really like numbers.
I think I’ve been running it 2-3 years, and the batteries are still holding up great. That’s a plus. Used to changing batteries often in grow related tools.
@dbrn32 I’m thinking about getting some UVB supplemental lighting. Any suggestions?
I don’t use it so can’t really promote anything specific.
@Borderryan22 weren’t you using UVB?
I got the 30w HLG UVA30. I didn’t really notice much difference, but I kinda had a rough grow this last round.
