@Covertgrower. @Hellraiser. Trying to figure out how many tops I want to end up with doing monster crop with 7 plants in a 4x4 tent using 480 true watts of cheap crap lights to get max weight in the end. Like 3x topping would give 8 buds per plant. 4x is 16 buds etc. Given above info what’s my best bet for max harvest weight? In 5gal cloth pots using promix and Jacks.
Monster cropping is good, but I would recommend doing some LST to keep the canopy under control. You’ll have to spread the clones out because they will be dense.

Hmm ok. GDP strain says it grows low and wide. Up there ^^^^ a tad is a pic of one plant scrogged in the tent now. It takes up a bit over half of the tent. I could be greatly mistaken lol but if I top the center stem 3 to 4 times wouldn’t 8 to 16 buds end up relatively the same height? I can make minor adjustments if needed. I have a 4" squares scrog net and was thinking putting 1 bud in it’s own square to separate them. Or are you saying lst early to keep them lower? If I top 4 times that’s a ton of buds or 3 times is 8 buds per plant. I’m just a tad nervous with the lst on 7 plants and trying to keep them as much in the center of the tent as I can due to crap lights.
Monster cropping is a whole other ball game. They don’t grow as a traditional clone would grow. They have sometimes 8-10 branches from a single clone, after it starts to take off.

I know I’ll have to stay on top of pruning and eventually every side stem will get chopped and made into clones hopefully. So …will topping 3x for 8 buds per plant or 4x for 16 give me the most weight at harvest. Thanks a bunch! Much appreciated!
Approximately. I would top at 3x and see how they ride. You don’t want to extend the veg time too much.

Thanks again. I plan on topping the 5th set of leafs on the seedlings to get an early start to.Theyre on the 4th set now.

@Covertgrower. I’ll be doing first topping on seedlings in a day or two at 5th set of leafs. Wondering if I should fim instead for more tops to reduce time to flower. I hope to do the kyle kushman style of super crop where he strips the entire plant except for the top 3" to 4" of growth which will all be bud sites prior to flipping. I’m thinking if I fim twice rather than top three times I could get more bud sites faster to flip. Does it work that way? Thanks!
You can try to FIM, and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Worth a shot though

Cal dream is 48 days in flower. 20 to 25% white tricomes. Is that about two weeks out minimum?
@Covertgrower. What’s your take on flushing last 2 weeks? Seems like that’s when she needs nutes but I’ve used ff nutes and soil so thinking I need a salt build up flush at some point.
If you’ve been over feeding, flush, then just water the last 2 weeks.

Day 49 how much longer lol ugh. Need tent cleaned out asap. Seedlings for next batch getting to stretchy due to subpar light on them. In hindsight should have waited another 3 weeks to grow the seeds. @Covertgrower
I shoot for 95% pistils brown. 5% is usually foxtails. I scrolled up a ways, and saw your scrog. No up close shots? Was just trying to help, but didn’t see a recent picture.
