Anyone have luck with there grand daddy purple turning purpling I have 5 different seeds starting week 6 of flower. That’s including transition
Rdwc custom build 10 plant ten light set up Here is my grow journel
I just finished one a few weeks back. Wasn’t able to pull any colors out of her. The jack herer I got going now is nearly all purple.
I’ve seen a few on forum that has brought out the color with lowers temps later in flower. Getting those temperatures down low enough can be difficult. I’ve also read that raising ph up in the last few weeks will also assist in bringing colors out. Here’s a example of a grow that had the heat go out and had the color come out.
Yea I’ve only ever grown one strain that’s purple from very 1st growth and that’s devil cream pity shes not genetically bred to foxtail healthily so the buds get roughly big as a thumb
I have a strain of my own I call purple poison that naturally grows purple. I’ll post some photos next time I harvest one. It’s quite beautiful. Several years ago I grew some quirkle that the buds grew in a cow fur pattern of green and purple splotches on the same bud. It was unique bit didn’t yield anything so I had to let her go
Happy Cannaversary @BobbyDigital
Happy cake day ! I also have a JH going.
I’m trying to pheno hunt but it’s just so much to deal with and still keep the operation running
We too bad a strain of your own do you mean you created it through breeding
It’s hard to pheno hunt for color because they produce the color so late in the plants life.
Pheno hunting takes really no extra effort but a quick glance a rub and sniff… what ever your trying to “weed” out you will easily be able to see superior and inferior plants .
First grow to a couple weeks old to make sure u got males all gone
Second look for robust stalks taller heights but not lanky
After you got your visual statistics weeded
Then go for Terps take your fingers and rub the bottom of the stalk and smell your fingers even in veg your plant will give you a hint how and what stink its gonna have then from there you will see whats got good roots and whats smelly you might find 1s taller and a short one stinks more now u gotta determine do I want alot of not so stinky weed or a lil less @ higher quality.mm to me it’s a no brainers but not everyone uses there weed the same some need more weed faster some like quality over quantity but really they need no extra attention they really shouldn’t get extra attention grow them all the same and exception plants will stick out very easily
Thank for the tip I have 7 strains imma run in an experiment next batch I’ll keep that in mind when looking for my next winner.
Here’s a pic of a genetic I paid for week 6 of flow sfv og definently has the stick and smell. I one day what my veg tent to be full of amazing geneticsSimilar to autumn and fall the way that leaves turn in the autumn and fall is very similar. You need to cool down the plant at night, cold nights, equal, purple buds.……
