Stick to 1 plant in the 3x3 I’d say 2 at most. I run a 2x2 and 1 plant will really fill the tent fast. If I begged a bit longer it would be that much bigger also but I was shooting to just fill the net in the tent. Too many plants makes for a cramped up space and causes issues like wpm or mold ect as everything is cramped up with no space to breathe. U will be happier with the outcome of 1 or 2 plants over more in that space.

I’m fixing to germinate my first seeds . I have not seen the answer to my question yet so here goes . I started to germinate 10 seeds but ot it looks like maybe I should do 1 or 2 at a time …Do I need a tent and why? My plants will be Indoors is a small bedroom . How long should I have them under lights every day ? Tia

Welcome! How many problems do you want to have on your first grow? Because it looks like your heading for a bunch of them. Pop as many seeds as you like. Ten each is just going to make your problems 10 fold. Unless your going to devote the small bedroom into a complete grow space it’s failure waiting to happen. You need a room/enclosure/tent so you can have a complete space to grow where you can control environment. You need to control and maximize your lighting, Temps and humidity. Light cycles are determined by the type of plants your growing, Photos or Auto’s. How much research have you really done gearing up to grow? What lights, exhaust fans, circ fans and environmental controls do you have? Throwing a grow off in the corner of your bedroom is not going to work out well for you or the plants if that’s what your thinking about doing.

Depends on how much room you have to grow. Not necessarily physical floor space either. You need to consider how much light coverage you have if growing indoors, and other environmental controls important too.
You need a light tight space if growing photo period plants, they need minimum period of uninterrupted dark period to flower. You can potentially do this without a tent, but most people opt for tent as it’s usually the easiest option.
Most common way to do this is to veg on 18 hours light and then move them to 12 hours light when ready to flower. There are some exceptions, but best to keep simple when you’re new grower.

I agree w above. No way could I deal w 10 plants in my first grow which is 2 plants that just ending week one. I’d be so stressed that I’d kill all 10 plants bc seed are so expensive. Great answers on here for anything. Start a grow journal & tag some ppl to get them to follow along & help w any questions & problems. Good luck @SkunkedinTx

Ok I reduced my number to 2 plants .My seedlings are in a small closet waiting to open . My plan is to leave them in the closet under lights until Iget a good grow .I will move them to the room once they start growing good . I am able to keep that room dark and uninterrupted but if needed will purchase a grow tent

You can, i feel like most people do in order to keep warm unless using a heat mat. They will sprout in the dark too.

Whooo… fun! Yah me in your journal if you start or have one. This is your 1st grow too? What ya got sprouted? I have a Wedding Cake & LSD-25 autos a wk above ground so we’ll be close in grow cycle. Didn’t you say you’re only going to do 2 plants?

I’m doing a total of 4 .I want to try different things with two sets of 2 .First grow maybe too many,but will be fun to watch
