Gold Leaf / Jack Herer

Like HOLY COW! you need to see how thick this pant is! its SO thick I’m not sure if its too late to peel off some fan leaves or LST to open it up a little! Of ALLl the plants I’ve grown so far I’ve never seen this short thick crazy style of growing lol I am very excited and don’t want to do anything that will slow this down- but i also am concerned that if i don’t selectively pull off some leaves ( or even remove some inside branches that are also covered in bud omg) to get some air in there i might have other problems- She is 6 weeks into flower I’m going on average 11 weeks on these plants- waiting for trichomes to amber seems to add at least 2 weeks if not more. ( it started as a clone and i reached in after a couple weeks of flower to see what was going on since it didn’t stretch at all it stayed very compact and bushed up like insane the stalks are COVERED with bud all the way from top to bottom lol I fully expected it to strech a bit and wasnt concerned about it untill i reached in a realized it was bulging out from the inside under the leaves each branch was filling up with bud- anyway i just don’t want to lose it from being smothered but scared to shock it into remission :frowning:

What do i do 6 weeks in? Anyone? I did pull a few fan leaves and kinda pushed the branches around to open them but I’m scared to move forward or ignore it.

@ktreez420 @Niala @Oldstoner @Donaldj anyone

I grew bubblegum that was very similar to that. Super short and crazy compact. I wonder if it’s a mutation in strains that do that infrequently… but I digress.

I don’t really trim any leaves except the bottoms before bloom. If you want more air to circulate why not get a stronger/bigger fan. The plant looks great… unless you see bud rot or are having mold issues. Just push more air through the plant. :+1::beer:

I would just let her do her thing , if anything you will be able to harvest the top buds and let the Lower parts of the plant mature for a couple more weeks if need be… I have flowered plants for 16 weeks just for that reason because there was so much growth up top that needed to be cut and harvested and so much growth underneath that was still a little immature… no harm no foul as long as they don’t hermi out on you , you should be fine… :wink:

Looking GREAT! Good job! You definitely can pluck some leaves if you’re worried about air flow. I’d recommend getting the lowest ones first, then you can always just add another fan in there for more air flow.
