I just built the 4 Quantum board set up with power supply. No heat sink required. No soldering wired in series L bracket framing material screws drill and bits home depot. Wire ties thats it, snap connectors easy i know you could build one! Go for it!
I get electric bill every 2 months i haven’t received one yet. But i just put that light together yesterday! I’m in week 4 of flower tomorrow. I replaced a so called 650 watt burple light.
Yea i guess i just wanted to go cheap for start up thought my lights were good because of the true wattage confusion. Now that i have that straightened out, i can start planing.
I want to work into my full tent and have 8 plants at a time i think would be max. Please correct if i am wrong.
I am about ready to flower. I know nothing about my strain and need to take clones afraid that if i take them before i flower they will be ready before space is availible. Any ways to get around that or just go big. I will be dropping my number of plants after this run to accomidate the w/sqft issue. Please help
I paid more for less with the burple and had less coverage. The beauty of the DIY is you can build to accommodate your space for even lighting. Less heat and lower cost for the money. Quantum Boards was a leap above the light i was using. Coverage now is even and cover the entire space. Cost around 250. For everything
ok it has been a minute since i gave an update. about 2 or 3 days after starting flower i found 3 males. gave those to a neighbor. i put them all closer together under both lights. so far so good.
added a co2 bag in there to help too. any help on where to get the parts to build the light mentioned above?
