Germinating CBD plants from Seed

I’m trying to grow some CBD plants from seed but I’ve encountered problems with germination problems . I’ve tried 28 seeds so far with only one plant to show for it. I’ve germinated many regular seeds before but this is my first time trying high CBD, low THC seeds.
Has anyone had success with CBD & if so can you recommend a seed supplier

Where did you get these seeds from? If ILGM there’s a germination guarantee.

Welcome to the forum.

Are the seeds popping and die as a seedling?

@VinnyGurr Welcome to the forum! In addition to the questions above I am curious on your germination method.

I’ve done a couple high CBD, low THC and they germinated and grew just the same. Sorry for the luck. Are they all the same strain??

The seeds came from Vancouver seed bank & they replaced them once but the replacement seeds failed as well. There were two different seeds but both failed. I talked on the phone to them but they couldn’t confirm that the replacement seeds came from a different batch. A few of my friends suspect that not a lot of high cbd /minimal thc seeds are sold & that might be the reason. I have started lots of regular seeds starting with 12 hour soaking followed by wet paper towels on a plate.
Once I’m successful I will take clones so I don’t need to purchase again.

Here is my current CBD girls, Blueberry and Harlequin. I soak my seeds in spring water and a few drops of peroxide for 24 hrs on top of freezer where it is 80 degrees. Then I wet a paper towel with same water and wring out all the water you can by hand, you only want a small amount of moisture. I put that in a ziploc bag mashed flat against the towel, that goes back on the 80 degree freezer top. I always have tails by the next day when they go into their chosen media. Usually have them sprout next day. Give that a try, the towel moisture is important here! Good luck!

They are two weeks from soak tomorrow.

It’s also important to get seeds into a neutral medium like coco rather than into soil.

They never sprouted so they never saw any type of medium.
