Why would you want your nodes to be further apart?
closer nodes makes for better bouquet of colas IMHO

I’ve been reading up on VPD and been doing a little experimenting with it but not much more than that. I’ve tried making adjustments to the environment to get it above .8 but it seems difficult to hold it there.

I guess I’m used to seeing a little more spacing between nodes. These just look much tighter than previous grows.

Those look beautiful!

I keep above 1 and below 1.6 as much as possible…especially important during flower to keep mold from forming…

I like to have 1 inch spacing up to node 7… I top so I have 7 nodes and that seems to be my sweet spot for my grow style to create the canopy/bouquet I like

thanks for the compliment growmie…just got back from grandsons basketball games and now time for a good smoke and a beer and then what can I have for supper???

Morning @Retiredoldguy ! took your advice and spent some time this morning dialing in the VPD. I think I might have lost a few hairs off my head though.

we do what we can to grow this beautiful plant in so many different conditions…some things we can control and others we can’t…and some things are not as important as the books say they are

Performed a light pruning today.

Both plants look like they’re putting maximum energy in root production.
A glance at the environmental conditions:

The AC Infinity Water temperature is monitored at the plant bucket and the BlueLab is monitoring at the reservoir. I use this as a check to make sure that there is sufficient flow between the reservoir and the buckets.

morning looking good, they will bounce back…how many weeks do you veg for?

Morning @Retiredoldguy ! Anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. It all depends on how quick they fill the net. When they bounce back, I’ll do another round of topping again.

I go 6 weeks in veg so I can turn a crop every 120 days…in hydro it is amazing how quickly they bounce back from deflorations
