I live in manic weather. 61 today with 80%RH. 39 Tomorrow morning with 50%RH. Should I have the heater outside of tent near intake? I put her in last night. This morning she had droplets on the little teeth on the fan leaves. Coco was dry on top so I went ahead and watered. I need to get some monitoring equipment. What critical elements should I concern myself with?
Yes i would try to make garage comfortable and then go from there happy growing my friend
Tent needs oscillating fan to move the air.
Tent may need heat to stay above 65F.
Dehumidifier used in my system to provide lowering RH and some temp increase.
Thats what im looking for. Fans in today. Suggestions on dehumidifier?
Thank you. Yes. I told wife, if you’re kicking us out, I gotta buy more shit. No complaints though because shes the pothead
.
The Fifty Pint model is good for lung room volume some have discharge PUMP included.
Yaufey 80 Pints Energy Star Dehumidifier for Home, Basement and Large Room up to 5000 Sq. Ft., with Drain Hose, Timer, Intelligent Humidity Control and Large Water Tank
Smaller if placing in tent, not lung room.
In house unit (spare, if I need) Works great for Mrs. Daisy delicate clothes drying.
Lasted 8 years, the processor.
I have a really small unit available for cure routine in tote.
I would consider a dual hose (two-hose) portable AirConditioner/HEATER unit if I lived in winter below freezing. PNW-Seattle gets 3 weeks below Freeze temps, or less, we hope.
Long term and legal are the factors to consider when investing in grow equipment.
Will follow!
Seems to me that’s consistent with your use of one tent for veg and the other for flower. (I inferred that from the screenshot of your controller.)
Alternatively, you could partly open a lower air vent on the warmer tent. Finding the right balance between fresh air and exhaust from the other tent would require experimenting.
Your current system raises the lung room’s humidity just as much. I thought that’s addressed by the attic fan.
Keep doing what you’re doing Tripple D, it’s definitely working. I’ve grown in my garage for the last 4 years and don’t spend a lot of time going down schematic rabbit holes, growing good herb is more important and I’ve come accustomed to tuning and dialing my equipment to the outside and inside environmental conditions. Growing weed is a simple process and only we make it difficult. Keep on keeping on Brother ![]()

Its working.
The real problem is
How not to kill them.
One month in tent today. (11/7 travelled from @noddykitty1 surrogate parenting, seed drop 10/4).
Above ILGM Afghan Autos in 5-gal bags.
Below Unknown (DDD or NK1 seed)
DDD Seedling survivor from 10/2024 outdoor drop
Others doing almost as well and under lights out.
@Venturi , third winter in garage growing. Every day it changes.
I can balance system for sustaining life.
Lights and air moving, OK.
Soils are the current challenge.
Best of all, I hang and smoke there. Noise reduction is the true value of my system as designed. No F14 in full AFB Mode.
You said you were planning to revise your system, so I thought sharing my ideas with you might help you decide on your design. Hope it was helpful.
Unfortunately, I lost track of whose thread this is and have realized I hijacked this one from @SausageMahoney. My apologies, Sir. ![]()
It actually is similar for my re-design.
Awaiting the 8-in ducting for T8Filter removing air from Tent 2 into Lung (or preferably Tent 1). Lung room clean air ultimately could have potential for house intake.
T6 will still exhaust to attic.
The A6 fans make more (too much) noise. The T6s are quieter and more efficient.
Work in progress, still.
No worries @Venturi. Good conversations morph.
Excellent my friend, killing it Tripple D ![]()

@Venturi ,
Your design is the ideal for the physics.
I should have acknowledged your input, better, earlier.
The problem for me, I walk between tents for access to windows of garage.
No room for hose and me. Tent holes not in best places, but workable.
Secondly, the least destructive or more work required is to be avoided.
I am awaiting the 8inch hose ducting from AC-I.
One day at a time,
Thanks all
Your current layout has 2 hoses connecting the tents. Is one purpose of your redesign to eliminate those hoses?
Current design, One in and one out.
Yes the bottom (OUT) exhausting hose (and fan) can be eliminated.
Less trip hazard, while ducking top (IN) cross-over.
The filtered exhaust will depart the top of the tent 2.
Not sure if it will terminate in lung room or follow to top of first tent, for temp/rh or exhausting thru tent 1 to attic (unfiltered).
Don’t want to build, or put holes in tents, maybe.
Current set-up reasonable, just need trim.
Lung room smoking contributes to redesign plans, and revisions.
A work in progress or process.
System cannot carry much more load, else I would just add the needed component to control the grow environment.
So I get to learn my grow and work my grow.
Waited 40 years to do so, legally.
How about having both tents exhaust through short hoses at their tops to a Y-adapter that connects to the fan and carbon filter?
If the ceiling’s height won’t allow that, an alternative would be to exhaust through upper side ports.
