Cut clones tonight started by soaking rockwool cubes in gallon of 5.8 ph water with 5ml liquid Karma super thrive would likely accomplish same goal but LK makes good foliar feed so can reuse soaking water for several days misting to feed.
I cut using scissors then trim leaves and immediately place in ice water and take next cutting following same process after getting several cuttings. I take a razor dip end in cloning gel then cut on diagonal across lowest node.
I also shave the node across from it to increase potential rooting area followed by immediately dipping into cloning gel slathering it higher than the shaved node. Then place the cutting into a rockwool cube rarely using the existing hole rather making a new one so cutting fits tighter.
I place clones in my veg room away from lights sweet zone covered with dome and if they show signs of wilting I place paper over dome I will mist them several times a day with above mentioned LK and phād water I make a point to leave 1/4" of 5.8 phād water with super thrive in tray this is barely deep enough for rockwool to touch but does wick some letting them stay moist but not soaked I will top off as needed watching for signs of mildew and letting breathe several times a day I typically see first roots within 10 days using rockwool. So may kick myself for not using bubble cloner but mothers will be mostly recovered in 2 weeks. I feel no remorse for mothers since all I did was take top Kolas which were the result of early topping and training
I just cut branches off ,then recut on 45%, scape branch above ,dip in cloning solution ,then place In prepared soil pots ,which have been soaked In water , then light spray over leafās and u dear 18/6 lightās for two weeks then I to outside grow
Using rockwool because they are going into DWC likely couldāve used bubble cloner or thrown right into unit but they wouldāve been in more direct light
Iāve got my rapid Rooters soaking in 6.5 now and I set my cloning unit up this morning Iām going to run it till noon check for glitches, then put in the solution Iām going to use, let it come up to temps and tonight Iām going to take my cuttingsā¦!
No more ghost town in my tent with just those three little plants, well I have a 8-ball kush getting transplanted to her home soon too
Paranorman I wish I had room to root clones , did some pruning this morning on the ice widow and wish I could have cloned them to flower later , sucks to flush beautiful clones like that each time .
I almost used rapid rooters again but last time they kept throwing off my ph in my DWC unit being organic material and needing higher ph they worked awesome for soil though
Lol thing I love about clones Yoshi I only have to buy seeds once for a strain and 1 mother turns into 10 plants or 100 depending how long I choose to keep her in service. Also clones are same age mother so can flower them at any size once they are rooted
I stick mine in a tray on a propagation mat in the corner of the tent and leave them alone, except for adding water occasionally and 5 days later I have Roots Iāll put a link up after dinner when I get a moment to find it, I hope it helps !
ā¦ if space is your issue I understand because I have a 4x4 and a 5x5 I use the 4x4 for veg last time but I had way too many clones cause they all rooted LOL Iāll take that problem any day LOL
Man I know Donaldj but my Lil 2Ć2Ć5 is plum full with Co2 bucket , now air pump , 2 oscillating fans with two 5 gallon buckets with 2 plants . This why Iāll have to create something here soon that I can veg clones in for about 6-8 weeks in case I have flowering plants like now and be able to veg the clones until I have space to put them . I been trying to negotiate with my wife but Iāll have to omit something to add another tent and she is not being lienent right now since itās no room for her rotating Christmas tree to go up this year , so Iām in a stalemate with her right now but Iāll figure something out soon I hope.
