I’m still not sure thing is I placed 3 of each strain in coco starter pucks since I had just moved couldn’t find tooth picks for one strain so put them in tray one strain one side one the other the misses moved them couple of times so no saying the tray was facing same way so instead now I know only 1 is a different strain I am hoping it’s the green crack since I know I will go through more blue berry than green crack lmao. Once in flower it will be easy to tell them appart
And so it begins
well my new support post is ready to take load so will be building my final space tomorrow ladies are gaining size daily should be ready for first topping in a few more days will be training them to be mothers so LST and topping is on the early to do list. Temps and humidity are starting to balance out ladies seem to be quite happy without any feeding Have 2 maybe 3 days left until I am laid off for season and winter is here snow on the ground and daytime highs below freezing By end of Dec should have clones going
topped 2 days ago and no signs of stress though humidity has become a factor as my space is still far too dry now I’m off work will be adjusting venting and light cooling
Christmas lights hung speed bag installed (neighbours will love me ) old footings out of crawlspace space dug out enough to build lumber inside styro inside all ready to start building just debating wiring in another outlet. Will redirect vent to pull more heat off light after misses gets home from work
Just a few progress pictures
will be transplanting ladies to their 5gal homes later today had the smart pots outside in sub zero for week to sterilize the bigger pots will let me start training them and bring my humidity back to where I want it since it’s been a challenge raising it redirecting vent worked wonders temps are around 77f rh 28% this morning new tops are forming after recent fim but less impressed I prefer topping fim has mixed results sometimes works awesome and other times like with the indica dominant strains I am growing rightnow not so much. They bush out so much before gaining any height the top doesn’t take off may have to dial down light to make them stretch just a little my node spacing is retarded 1/4" if that will be awesome for my clones in flower but when I want viable cuttings I desire more space and stretch. I think I picked these strains perfectly for my grow plan Will frame in mother and cloning space today going to forgo styro walls and go panda plastic framed tent didn’t expect my crawl space would stay so warm lmao but it sits comfortably in low 60’s which is perfect for bringing out my colours with the addition of my 3rd light it should sit around mid 60’s even when winter actually decides to show up. Will add pictures after transplant
todays progress
and now for the fun part
for those curious I mix the soil at about 6 cups vermiculite to 4 gal promix the vermiculite wicks water making getting even moisture level easier watered with around 2gal 6.5 ph 5ml LK per Gal nothing else simple stress reduction feed since the soil I am using has a charge I expect to see them perk up in a couple of days unless like last 2 transplants they don’t even droop. If you are wondering about using myco it was only 8 days from their last transplant from 3" pots to 1.5L pots the roots shot down and took over roughly 4" of pot in 8 days you can see the line where the starter soil ended clearly

nice!!!
Way different growing in my own place not a rental everything is built at slower pace with long term in mind not simply 4-6 months lol and easy tear down in mind sneaking things in and out lmao. If I don’t like anything or wish to change something I do it at my own leisure can take pictures without consulting partners Nice dr am I just got back from dropping off an ounce for a friend hour drive in a snow storm and still only for $100
Hey Donald I’ve started using mykos as well, how much do you use per plant ?
Well I am currently using an enriched soil which had it pre added but their specs said something stupid like .5 grams per cubic foot? My subculture M has instructions of lightly sprinkle or add to water but the stuff is spores so just floats on water best used pre added to your soil and I don’t think you can realy add too much since it will spread like fungi anyway
collecting snow melt off my roof for next couple of waters easier than waiting on my RO unit to push out Gallons of water and free
just reminded me I need to plumb in water for crawlspace and outside roflmao have redone 90% of plumbing in this house what’s adding another pipe and tap,
no signs of any stress from transplant so I trimmed some of fan leafs which were reducing light to limbs below them these are mothers after all so I want branches and am less concerned with keeping them natural and heavily vegged for flower they will never be flipped so keeping them short and encouraging even small branches to grow. I typically cut off any branches below 6" height from soil because they get choked out and waste energy but in this case in my limited space I aim to keep these ladies short under 20" so as branches get taller will start tying them down and encouraging them to put out more branches and tops which in turn I will take as cuttings. Keep in mind my goal is to have clones which I will grow as single or double kola plants 18-20" no branches 8 per 20 gall DWC unit root and shoot 3 light rotation 4 weeks veg from cutting then flip. I had good success on my last grow with bubble cloner rooting clones within 6-8 days so I may veg an extra week if needed but I don’t see needing to another 2 weeks or so I should be able to take viable cuttings
still amazes me I can spend whole days reading older posts and still learn new info everyday ladies are happy expect will be another couple days before they need another watering
Ladies are quite happy have them further away from the light to encourage stretch but this is at the cost of temps so a little cooler than I would like but otherwise everything is right on track. Damn things are so compact 4" tall and about 7" around haven’t had to water since transplant and the continued growth rate is telling me they didn’t stress in the slightest from transplant or trimming
If anyone is curious my ladies haven’t recieved a single feeding aside from LK and super thrive for b vites and humic acid no extra NPK the nutrients given have all been root enhancers and stress reducers and are showing no signs of needing anything as of yet at around a month old
What are you using for soil ? I use ffof and for the first time ever I started giving it GH 1-1-1 at 20% at two weeks
(More for an experiment than anything else, it shouldn’t affect it negatively and I’m watching it for tip burning or anything like that, I’m trying to be more proactive than reactive this time)
