From GROW GUESSER TO GROW GURU

So ive been planning my next grow, and im going to try only filling these 7gal OXY pots half way with medium. And im not going to go with ROOTS(fought too hard to lower the annoying ph level of this soil) FF for this one. Still going to use same light setup a 600watt hps with 2-40w led strip bars. Also not going to try 10 plants at one time. Going with two. What strain do you recommend to try in a west texas climate, im shooting for all year round. Indoor, auto, fem, high temp, low maintenance,

If it’s an indoor grow, I say grow anything you want. Will you be facing any extreme temperatures in your grow space?

Indoor so you can grow whatever strain you want, I don’t do autos so can’t help with that.

Autos suck…stick with Photos. You have more leeway with Photos. Autos…you don’t have the luxury of being Johnny Appleseed. Photos also bounce back from a deficiency and Autos can be a real PITA…pain in the you know what.

I am starting to think with Autos that a Light Schedule does matter. I grow them on 12/12…start to finish. They don’t get very big. Now my Photos go ballistic on a 12/12 start to finish.

I am in South Texas and I grow any strain indoors with no problems whatsoever. Now outside…I wouldn’t recommend for obvious reasons.

What strain would you recommend for photos? Using hps 600watt. In a tent inside a room that can reach up to 84f? Because them darn autos like to hermie around 80

@rabbitt85 If you want it for Pain Management, there is two strains right off the top of my head.

G13 Labs Peach Puree CBD. Here is what happened for 3 separate people.

Cancer Patient #1 it gave a nice head high. Took all pain away and she then fell asleep.

Cancer Patient #2 it took all his pain away. He had Terminal Cancer metastasis. He didn’t get a head high.

Patient #3 is me. I havr pretty much every spinal problem you can have. I would list the medical problems but its a novel length. I get a slight head high. No pain.

Another strain is Garden of Green Super Critical Bud CBD.

It really comes down to what you are looking for. Plenty of CBD strains to help manage pain.

Sativas tend to give you enegry and take the pain away.

Indicas will literally lock you into Couch Lock if you get a lot of amber.

I have smoked over 200 strains so far. I like my Sativas for the energetic high.

I also am new and all in as well. I have a 4x8 tent
Using FF soils and just had 5 out of 6 pop their little heads out in their solo cups. Just using water on them for now. Temps at about 72 day 68 night trying to get the Humidity up using the spray bottle spraying the inside of the reflective tent. Works but need to keep after it or it goes to about 38.
I made an error in judgement in amount of soil to use in solo, I believe it may have needed a bit more to start. I added soil to prop the stems up safely. When they get 3rd set of leaves is my plan to move to 5 gal Fibre pots and begin nutrition adds. I have my grow light on 16/8 schedule now. Let me know if I need to do anything different. I do have an exhaust fan that I just use for air right now

alright its been a long time guys, but ive been busy. between hand/wist surgery, having to break down and move grow, and waiting for final supplies, IMBACK!!! Update on plants from above:

SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, they all turned out to be great smoke. COUCHLOCK stuff. All but one plant that is, its buds stayed green and airy til this day. CONFUSED on that but oh well. No root rot and the reddening of the stems and stock is actually quite common with the strain from research ive done.

MOVING ON-still waiting for carbon filter exhaust system, oscillating cool air tower fan, ph, nutes, and light meters to arrive. NEED SUGGESTIONS on soils for autoflowers, im thinking something like ROOTS ORGANIC LUSH or FFOF. making crater in center of soil and adding maybe 1" of regular potting soil in crater, then transplanting 1wk from surface seeds into final 5gal pots??? IDK. NEED HELP. also what nutes are you using with your soil line/feeding schedule?

FFOF will be a good soil all around.

I believe that’s locally available as well. Any opinion on the layered soils in a pot? Or my idea of making a little round area of starter soil on top of FFOF

I grow in FFOF exclusively. Seed to harvest.

Okay, I’ll try it. Auto flower as well as photoperiod bud? I’m doing the ILGM AUTO GG#4,

Yes would work for both.
