Appears to be a version of a cicada. They do damage crops but one may just be traveling by. If you see more some treatment may be necessary.
There are quite a few this year stopping by to say hello. Thanks for your input.
Leafhopper
Foe! They’re pretty though
Outta likes, but LMFAO
@Beck I have love left and liked it for you!
Thank you @JaneQP
I seen they used a picture to identify a bug before but don’t recall what the app or website was sorry!
Too funny!
The app I use is called seek by Inaturalist it’s free and useful and great
Lol I also just put 2&2 together hahaha I’m slow
Here you go that pic plugged in and that’s an exact identification not just the species
True. The sharpshooter is a type of leafhopper
You could just keep trying to flick it off …usually when you see one bug and none others it’s doing such minimal if any harm to your plant …it’s when the numbers of the same one are present that is worrisome …most of these insects are not colonizing on your plant rather stopping in for just a taste and live on to the next one .
I have an iNaturalist app but it’s just for plants. Totally have to get the one for bugs!
I was unaware this one does it all plants bugs …birds …any living organism it’s been a savior and. True companion in my growing adventures
I also truthfully think they only make this one app but I am probably wrong hahaha
Oh I’ll have to check my app Haha that’d be hilarious if I already had it and keep dragging out my big book
Hysterical but it would be awesome if you realize you already have it
Haha! I do! I just uploaded a beetle that I took a picture of this morning and it named it. No info on friend or foe but I can google that.
I’m so glad you pointed that out!
Haha I knew you the right one for the job!!
