Awesome job everyone. Loving it.
This is exactly what I had in mind when I was inspired to create this thread, I was pondering one day, what people on the other side of the pond eat as everyday staples, that go-to meal, when youâve had a hard day at work, your tired and donât feel like cooking, but you still have to feed the clan. Quick throw together meal or take away pizza?
@shindig153 my friend, I had a feeling you would enjoy your food, your recipes are perfect for my tastes, they are cooked from the heart for your loved ones, fantastic! I will definitely try these.
Thanks for answering my questions, Iâll hunt around or find a suitable substitute.
@registereduser that pizza looks so good, with that beer, perfectamundo
@Amazon66, I normally season with mixed herbs from my garden, rosemary, basil, garlic chives etc. All purpose seasoning, salt and white pepper to taste. I heat oil in pan first (olive/canola doesnât matter), so it doesnât soak into potatoes.
If Iâm feeling kinky, I cook the potatoes in duck fat
Or for a healthy alternative,
line pan with baking paper and use
light canola spray.
I have a few different methods.
I NEED to maintain a healthy balanced diet or my IBS flares up, which isnât pleasantâŠ
I tried the FODMAP diet for a while, but I was miserable because I couldnât eat my favourite foods:
Garlic, mushroom and onion
So I embarked on food journey, similar to @Skydiver,
I needed to re-build myself from the inside out, so thatâs just what I did. Fed the good critters and they looked after me, minimised eating things with GMOâs in them and processed food and chose organic substitutes where possible, everything in moderation, especially booze, or I pay for it, dearlyâŠ
Here is a link for anyone looking to get healthy, from the inside, or who have similar issues:
@BetrayedSoul, no food snobs here (except @registereduser, with the boutique beer, which I would happily drink with him/her )
Pizza looks like munchy material yum, supreme? Where from?
The title says it all;
âFood that makes people happyâ
It doesnât matter where it came from, who made it, whether is it humble and meek, or if it is fare,
fit for a King. I learned years ago to appreciate food and good friends.
Every year (normally) I attend a big camp out, cook up weekend. With framily (friends that are considered family) Itâs like this huge
multi-cultural weekend of fun times, fantastic food and usually too much frivolity. I have eaten some of the most amazing food, met some of the most genuine, pure people and had some of the best times of my life at these camp outs, it was there that I learned the true meaning of those 2 words, every single person needsâŠ
GOOD FRIENDS.
Now I have plenty of them, right here, I appreciate all of you.
Good vibes, keep it green
