20 lbs is overkill but :point_up_2:t5:

Ive seen a few growers pull 5-10 oz a plant in 1-2 gallon pots using the above… many more doing lbs in 5 galls.

@Lawnfarmer not very. His was a 12 bulb.i believe.
He had small 6" fan in his tent blowing across the top of of the light.

He’s on YouTube.

I will check out the jacks fert, and T 5 LED blue light

Are you using Jacks for plants grown in soil, it said for Hydroponics.

Yup. It says that but so does GH (General Hydroponics) and a few other brands.

It works just fine in soil

Purp,
this is just a onetime deal with me growing inside, I normally just start inside and then finish outside,
I got Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot etc. near me, can you name any other fertilizer, that would work as well as jacks 321, for now. I can always get some Epson salt and add it to the water, 1 gr/per gallon, Is the Epson salt a onetime use.

More than enough for 1 grow

Im a fan of Alaska Fish Ferts. They sale a 5-1-1 and a 0-15-15. Itll get the job done. May need a separate source of calmag however

Again, this is a onetime indoor grow of auto flower, I heard someone mention a T-5 Led with blue light, and it was said, this could get the job done as far as flowering, I am getting a lot of insight from all of the response, this is great, I have a degree in Agronomy as well being a farmer till my late 20’s, I am old now, LOL. What is the thought on blue light Versus the red light, in a LED T-5 florescent?

I am told that i can transform my 4ft 2 bulb T-12 to T-5 by using snap on sockets, Leviton 13654EXL, anyone have knowledge on this topic

@caaa I think the ballasts also have to be changed as well as the sockets. Not 100% sure on what all is needed. Or if it’s even feasible.
I’ll tag @dbrn32 for some clarification on this for you.

Depends on bulbs you buy. Some require ballast replacement and others don’t.

If you’re serious about growing, i would look into different lighting altogether. Proper light spectrum can be attained by fluorescent bulbs, it’s just that most use different bulbs for vegging plants than flowering plants. The problem with fluorescent is the efficacy is low. So amount of light per watt consumed is low. This will require a lot of additional power consumed to get to similar results in comparison to more efficient lighting.

Hlg is awesome… I have a 300 bspec for veg tent and 600rspec in my flower tent… You will be amazed at how much the choice of light matters.

I started years ago with hps and mh bulbs… Decades later went cheap… Bought a bunch of large screw in fluorescent bulbs… Waste… Then into burples… Better but a waste of money on lights and electricity… Then came here got advice from @dbrn32 and now I couldn’t be happier.

Good luck!

Trust in the @dbrn32 he is the way. :slightly_smiling_face:
