Fiz's Second Grow - LSD Auto triplets

Right? :+1:

Hey @Fiz , did you see Pot 4 Pot’s email about their first-ever and free outdoor grow class? I registered, even though outdoor growing isn’t in my near future, but in any case, it should be good learning. Classes will be recorded, and questions can be asked ahead of time. The first class is on your birthday, 420, of course.

Me, next summer  :

I hadn’t realized how frosty Shirley was getting. That shot took me by surprise. And it’s easy to see she has a way to go yet with all the white pistils.

Now Claudette is looking like she’s near the end. I was looking with the loupe today and she has some purple trichomes - just a few but I was all WHAT is this? Her pistils are mostly pulled back now and I know that means chop time is coming.

Good thing, I’m nearly out of Lucy - and I have no intention of buying. I might have to take a ---- tolerance break!

I did see it and promptly forgot about it. I’ll look again but outdoor growing is not happening here any time soon unless I set a pot on my patio or something.

Yep, same with me last week, haha. So, I just registered.

I’ve put my plants on the patio at times, I mentioned that, I love seeing them outside in the sun and that’s why I bought tan bags, but my current plants were only in the sun like four days when younger, lol. The tan really keeps the pot cooler, no duh, but still I was excited each time I felt the cool bag and exclaimed to myself, “The bag really is cooler in this tan grow bag!”

But I like the idea of outdoor growing; last summer, I followed a local grower’s outdoor grow journal, all of the trials and tribulations and monster plants, so I know it has its own challenges. So, maybe someday.

Thanks a lot! It’s fun having a “tentful” going.

yes it is

Looking at this GIF again reminded me to ask: did you see Lady Buds? My bestie recommended I watch it. It’s about women growers of California. It’s a documentary. Well worth a peek if you can find the program.

They also have a YouTube channel…

So! Let’s talk about Slowpoke. She’s my self-training plant, wants to grow like a creeping evergreen or something. She’s a big mound of leaves, so big I had to evict Psyduck from the tent. Now she’s nearly filling the 2x2 by herself - and nary a button yet! All the other autos I’ve grown showed buttons within a few days of showing first pistils. Not Pokey! She has a few pistils here and there, other than that all green.

I don’t know if she’s stubborn, or she thinks she’s a photo or what. Right now, since the large tent is jam packed, I’m not unhappy about her taking her time. She’s the Gorilla Glue and honestly, I’m wondering if she’s going to grow super huge. She’s likely going to have to move once Claudette finishes - which may be in a week, or two.

If she has decided she’s a photo, I’m going to let her veg a while longer before doing the 12/12 thing on her.

Oh awesome! It was a very interesting program, and showed me clearly why I’ll always just be a hobby grower.

Seeing a giant warehouse filled with weed pissed me off though - because here’s my damn state STILL not getting recreational going two years after voters voted to legalize. “We have to make sure they have enough supply for the medicinal patients first.” What the heck?

They can’t sell across state lines, I guess. Ridiculous.

Good choice. I am trying a couple photos on a 12/12 from birth schedule to see what happens. One of them is growing super slow, the other is fairly the size of my average autoflower and going into full-blown flower. I bet two more weeks of veg would have been better for more growth, but to be honest I’m skeptical of the genetics so I figured a flower and reveg was warranted if I liked it.

Fiz, you are getting some odd plants from the get-go. Sorry about that, yet they are giving you some good learning experiences.

Thanks for the Lady Bugs info; no, I’ve never heard of them.

Wow, crazy and irresponsible on your state to act as it has about rec weed. On the side, after the Nov 2020 election in my state, in Dec/Jan 2021 they said it would be mid-April or 420 before rec officially would be sold in dispensaries. And then quite suddenly in late January 2021, rec weed was allowed to be sold. The lines were way out the door for awhile, med weed $ went up and was selling out, and the dispensaries were unorganized, etc. Is there no middle ground? It really shouldn’t have to be that hard.

Well I moved Psyduck into the tent with the green beams lights and suddenly she’s the size of her sister Jigglypuff. So if I can hold Pokey off for a bit, she will get her moments in the sun.

Those lights really are impressive, aren’t they? I have my Lemon Tree and one of @repins12 seedlings under my Green Beams and I’m just so impressed.

@Graysin I tried to get my buddy to buy one but he got a vivosun vs 2000 instead. Silly azz that he is.

Oh, that’s … fine. :joy:. The vs1000 has been an excellent veg light but I won’t buy em again.

Is this the dad of the late, great Wereweed?

I looked up that Vivosun … it’s less powerful, has a lower-quality and unremovable driver, and is more expensive … and I’m not even getting one, yet, LOL, going to make do with what I have for now, :sob: despite jonesing for a cooler grow area for my upcoming summer plants and without cramming them together. :hotsprings:  After the summer, I “should” be going back to growing only one plant at a time.

Yeah, Mr Wereweed himself. He never listens to me, god knows why, we were both neon green novices in October 21. I’ve spent the last 6 months researching, reading, and chatting with people who know what they are doing. I’m thrilled I listened to @Graysin and got the lights I did. Second choice might well have been KingBrite, but I didn’t want to wait forever, plus the SHIPPING CHARGES - whooft! The GBs arrived in three days, shipping was a reasonable $17, no complaints. They even gave me a bag o’ nutes on the first order.
