Thank you! I have to figure the entire grow should be done w/i max 6 weeks.
Just an idea
Clip off a small piece of a bud maybe 1/4" and take a look at the trichomes on the bench or under a scope, that’s how I check all of mine it’s just easier for me putting it under a scope
That’s a good idea, and the only reason I haven’t done it is that she’s only in the 6th week of flowering, I’ve never even had an auto finish that quickly, and most sources for this strain say 9 weeks or so. I bought the seeds from ILGM and they say 8-9 weeks.
I did a test bud from my auto 2 weeks ago, and she gave me a headache. She was in week 6 at that point.
It looks like you have some BOM contenders in the bunch. Gorgeous buds. ![]()
Thank you! I did work up my nerve to enter Ellie this month. I feel like I’m singing “To Dream the Impossible Dream”!
But I’m always happy if at least I’m not the only one voting for my girl. ![]()
Y’all are never going to believe this story.
Hubby left to take a mini vacation with his son and family on Cape Cod. We decided it was safer for him to go via train, b/c he has a clotting problem.
I took him to 30th St Station in Philly, parked right outside and walked him in to find that his gate was right by the door. Go ME!
I asked if I would walk him down to the platform, and they said certainly! Walk your Dad to the train. (he he he he he) Train arrived almost immediately and he asked me to help him on, which I did, and I started running to get out - and they had already shut the door and the train started moving! I hollered but noone heard me.
I figured next stop was NE Philly - but nope, it was Woodbridge NJ - 70 miles from my home!
The conductor had written a note to give to the southbound conductor to let me on the train for free. But I ended up waiting for the train outside for about 1.5 hours.
Then I had a heart attack b/c of the parking. I paid via app, but it wouldn’t let me give them more money and I was afraid of being towed, being in the drop off short term parking. I tried calling everyone. The parking people. The Amtrack people. Nobody could figure out what I was saying to them.
Finally the train arrives and I told conductor what had happened, and he didn’t even need to see the note - he just let me on and sat me in the club car.
I made it back to Philly at 430 - and ran out to the car - which was still there and had no ticket! Yay! But it was just in time for rush hour traffic, boo!
Home at 6 pm. I had been keeping my bestie in the loop - esp since he grew up in Woodbridge of all things. He came over and got me to drink couple of shots, and got me laughing like a loon.
Thank god for besties.
I called my mom and told her and she was laughing - said “this could only happen to you!” and I’m afraid she’s right.
Whew!
Oh man!
Bummer, but what a mini-misadventure for you! Meanwhile, how was Odie? He was probably very glad to see you.
Oh he was so upset. He did major zoomies all over the place and wouldn’t let me out of sight. I went upstairs for a little bit and couldn’t have him underfoot. He cried for a bit and went down - and then he started HOWLING. I never heard him do that before. He got extra treats and cuddles.
Oh this is going to be funny someday, maybe even tomorrow - “The Day Fizzy Got Kidnapped By an Acela Train”.
Today is the end of week 8F for Jenny, week 6F for Ellie. I will get out my scope tonight and look at Jenny’s trichomes. I targeted tomorrow as harvest day, and we will see. I may wait a bit more, esp since I am a bit tapped out from the heat.
Yeah, and yesterday’s “fun”. Hopefully Odie is settled today, especially with his papa being gone.
Weeeel… it’s like this.
I took him to the groomer today for a bath, brushing, and nail trim. When I put him in the car he was so excited, he thought we were going to the dog park.
Imagine the look of betrayal on his face when I pulled up at the salon. Groomer said he was good as gold and cooperated with the nail trim and all, but when he got home he took a 3 hour nap.
Being clean wears him out.
He did get a doggie ice cream cup when he got home. He took it into the shade to eat it.

Odie is such a loveable, intelligent, gorgeous weirdo. ![]()
He is my sidekick and furry bestie, and he loves every human he meets. He was kissing the groomer like crazy when she picked him up to bring to me.
I still can’t believe I found him through a picture on a website.
Then again, met the husband the same way.
Jenny has amber. Plenty of amber. I still took a small bud. I figure a day or two won’t make that much difference and I really need a smoke that will knock me practically unconscious.
Also time to mix more nutes. I did get a quick peek at a bud on Ellie and she’s still cooking, not done yet. Again - if she ends up rich with ambers, that will be fine b/c it’s meant for my husband’s sleeping pills anyway.
I’ve been pondering what to do after chopping Jenny, what with the auto pots. I think what I’ll do is snip her down in the tent, and leave her pot in place. It will still use some of the solution, but since there’s no plant to “drink”, likely that pot’s use will be low since it will just be evaporation from the pot.
Then I’m going to switch their positions and put Ellie up front so I can look at her buds better.
Oh, and after all that time of me not using it, my scope died. Or the software died, the scope does light up. Will have to see if I can rectify that.
Sounds good, and the nice thing with wanting a good amount of amber trichs is the plants can just ride. I’m watching the trichs on my daytime-y plant like a hawk, lol.
Or an eagle, that works, no hawk emoji’s.

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLESSSSS!
Fly, Eagles fly, on the road to victory! (fight fight fight)
Fight, Eagles fight, score a touchdown 1-2-3!
Hit em low, hit em high, and watch our Eagles fly!
Fly, Eagles fly, on the road to VICTORY!
Sorry, happens when I see an eagle.
LOL! Were you a cheerleader? Or do you just love eagles? ![]()
Philadelphia Eagles, yes I do.
But somewhere in my pics is a shot that astonished me. I was out bike riding and I saw a bald eagle sitting on a phone pole. I had never seen one here before in my life. It was being harassed by a mockingbird, which are my favorite birds b/c they have wonderful songs individual to each bird, and they are insanely brave.
The Eagle ended up being chased off by the mocker. Amazing sight.
Ahh, but of course with the sports team. ![]()
My bet is that eagle didn’t want to mess with one of those crazy mofos.
When I was a kid, I used to watch mockers dive-bomb our outdoor cats. Bald Eagles are great, we have some around here. Amazing creatures! So are the mockers, but well, eagles are more majestic. ![]()
They are, but mockers have enormous nerve and grit. Can’t fault their devotion to their hatchlings.
