So last night I mixed 2 gallons of nutes and didn’t spill it, hooray! Also, I took off the 100cfm intake fan which was doing squat, and put the 4 inch exhaust fan turned around to intake at the bottom of the tent. It has a variable speed, and I set it to slightly inflate the walls of the tent - not to rigidity or anything.
Temps stayed in the high 80s overnight and didn’t set off the alarm.
I dropped the humidity parameter to exhaust on at RH 45%. The only thing that CM seems to be susceptible to is mold, so I want to be careful with her. The fans can’t keep the RH under 55% during their “night” unfortunately, what with the autopots and the leaves there’s lots of evaporation going on under there. And it’s humid here today after all those clear, very dry days.
I’ve got plenty of airflow though so I’ll just keep minding the situation.
Wow, quite a day here in the Philadelphia area! On Sunday the 11th of June, a tanker truck filled with flammable materials burst into flame underneath an underpass of I-95, causing segments of the critial highway to collapse onto the roadway below.
This was a disaster, not because of loss of life (though the truck driver did die in the accident) but because 95 is THE main highway of the East Coast states.
This morning, a temporary repair was completed and the highway was reopened to traffic. The main reconstruction will take months to complete, but at least now this critical bit of infrastructure is back in operation.
It’s been a mess since it happened, with no good direct roadway to replace 95, people were spilling over into NJ seeing alternates.
I’m always amazed at what can be accomplished when we put forth major effort.
I just realized this is Friday, which means my girls have completed another week.
Today is the first day of Week 12 above ground. Jenny is starting week 6 of flower, and Ellie is staring week 4.
Jenny is starting to take on the “I’m getting near the end” stage. Ellie, much to my surprise is already pushing orange pistils. I looked up some pictures of the strain and that appears to be normal.
I’ve been able to keep the tent below 90 degrees with the extra input ventilation. Lights on humidity has been staying around 45% which is just fine, but in the 60s during lights off, which may just be a bit too much for Ellie. Dehumidifier should be arriving in the next day or so.
Oh, and Jenny may be the first plant I have grown that has stuck to her predicted timeline. They said 7 - 10 weeks of flowering, and yup she’s getting close.
Also they said she stinks, which they are much more polite about than me. “Diesel mixed with fruit” - that’s a recipe for a stench if ever I heard one.
Awesome! Glad it’s doing it’s job. I think I’m at about 60% RH overnight with the small dehumidifier. I have a fans all over the tent so I am not too concerned.
Can’t wait to see how this grow finishes up and the next one goes!
So we had something like 35 straight days with no rain, May was .01 inches for pity sake. Now, it’s been raining every day for two weeks and no end in sight. Fortunately, it hasn’t been all day rains, but the storms are very intense, 2 inch an hour rate at times.
Odie keeps asking to go out, and I open the door and he nopes right out.
Oh, and - late last night I dragged out my loupe to look at Jenny. Despite the persistence of white pistils, she had a smattering of amber on the buds. Color me surprised.
I’m letting her go a few more days and will reevaluate soon, but she may indeed be “two more weeks”. That would be nice.
Yeah I’m going to, I may take a snip tonight. For once, perhaps I’ll get up there at around 7 PM, instead of looking a 1:30 AM when I’m too tired to think.
I got his results today, and I got two of the breeds correct. I knew Chihuahua, and I guessed Rat Terrier. The others ones were a surprise and a laugh.
Oooo! I got reminded to remind everyone about “Journal of the Month” - and I’m going to beg for your vote, I’m not as “out there” as I was in the past but I do try to put out a bit of entertainment into the Cannasphere!
Why not have a doggie DNA test! Cool! Never thought of that, but it works for humans! Odie looks unique and a bit bigger than a “regular” Chihuahua, I think.
