First WW Auto ... I'm in ❤❤❤

I am. I got the food and seeds combo. I really want to give them a Jobe plant stake each. Would that be bad? Everything I’m reading says no Miracle Grow, but nothing on Jobes.

@BunnyD, Nothing time released. In reality, a good quality (can be home brewed and doesn’t have to be expensive) soil should have all the nutes an autoflower needs. I have a compelling entry regarding this subject in my journal.

LST began today. Both girls are handling it like troopers. They are amazing!

When I was worried about Periguine and her leaves, well, you know how you should not get stuff on their leaves? I did, so I’ll be careful now. :unicorn:

Insanity Moment Thus Far
I am constantly saying to my husband, “the girls are growing like weeds!”.

I’m not being funny. They really are. Still, I’ve got to get a bigger vocabulary. Even I know the excited utterance of weed growing like a weed should be followed by cricket sounds. :upside_down_face::seedling::rabbit:
Happy Easter!!

Yesterday evening you could see the bend. Today it looks like they have #1 grown (like weeds :upside_down_face:) and #2 they have rearranged their leaves to hide the bend.
My girls are the definition of girl power!:heartbeat::dancing_women:

Do the plants give off an ammonia smell?

False alarm!
The pee trap had gone dry … OMG what a smell!
New day, new knowledge!

Fed the girls last night. Had to adjust the pH down. Today, I added another LST the on Peraguine. The girls are getting fat big leaves.
A pet odor candle from chewy is making everything smell wonderful. It’s the pineapple coconut one.

My girls today.
Both have been watered. Both continue the grow new leaves rapidly. Peraguine does everything first, then Phrinee out does her sister!
They smell a bit, so ordered noa blocks. I always burn pet odor candles around the house - not in the grow room.
I’m so very pleased with the girls! I just wish I could grow some in my front garden. They are such pretty plants!

Photos to follow!

@BunnyD, what light cycle do you have the girls on?

I’m LST training a 3 week old Northern Lights Auto now, and I have her 20 hours on and 4 off. The 4 off is in the middle of the day from 1p to 5 p to keep the A/C from fighting the temps given off by the light.

I read a blog on the AutoFlower Network and 20/4 is the most popular auto strain light cycle. Many folks, including me, believe a rest period is essential for proper root development when the stored sugars can be converted to growth energy. The second most popular cycle is 24 hours on - no off, while that’s followed closely by 18 on and 6 off.

I vegged @18/6 and my autos loved their dark cycle, so much that I stepped down to 16/8 and now they are @ 12/12. And they have almost an inch a night in growth some nights.

I’m glad you responded with this information. My cabin (grow tent location) struggles to keep cool in the summer with grow lights running. I now use LED lights, but they still emit heat to deal with.

So you let them get to their flowering stage - then slowly back the light cycle down until harvest?

My thoughts are this will save power…but does it extend time until we harvest?

Yeah I treat them just like a photo plant. Only difference is they tell me when to flip to flower instead of the other way around.

The girls are on 18/6. Both grow and bloom lights are on together.

My girls are skunky! It’s not horrible, but it’s noticeable. Venting through the attic, and letting some fresh air in as well. The rest of the house is pineapple fresh. Worrying a touch about my neighbors.

Use a carbon filter. Releases fresh smelling air, and the only way to “grow”
