If say you aren’t too far off from 2 or 3 weeks. Looking tasty!
The seed bank says this strain of headband is 9-11 weeks flower. I remember you saying that the first week or so after light flip doesn’t really count, though, right? Something to that effect i think, like they are just getting used to the light change for a few days or so? If i cut them down 3 weeks from today that would be EXACTLY 10 weeks (70 days) since the flip.
That’s not at all unusual. You can selective harvest the upper buds if you like. If they are fully cloudy/Amber to your liking then it’s wholly possible to remove those uppermost buds and allow the lower ones that aren’t getting the light right now to finish ripening.
As far as timeline - I harvest once mostly cloudy. Usually I end up with all cloudy and some Amber by the time everything is fully dried and trimmed.
Do they continue to cloud and amber as they dry and use up whatever is left in them?
And I’m going to hang them in my tent for drying, so its kind of all out or bust. So i may just let the tops go a little further to try to get the most out of all of them. I already asked my wife if i could hang them in the house but she shot that down with a hard no.
First mistake. Easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission.
Yes, they do continue to mature a little bit after chop. I’m not sure how long after, but it is enough that my 100% cloudy harvest ends up about 90%-10% or so by the time I’m throwing them in the grove bags to cure.
They do. My gg will just get locky. I am pulling earlier this time.
Yeah they don’t instantly start flowering when you switch the light schedule I’ve seen some say it’s 2 weeks before you start counting and I’ve seen 3 weeks to start counting… it’s a rough guesstimate
Then maybe they need a little longer than 3 weeks. I don’t know when Rocket Seeds starts counting.
Doesn’t really matter when they start or stop what matters is if the trichomes are as ripe as you want em. Nothing else affects your harvest. Just the trichome potency.
My friend, I’m out of likes but if you didn’t enter BOM this month, you absolutely should this coming month. Heck, even if you did this month, still enter next month too. Those are some seriously gorgeous shots.
Is there a specific topic to post in for that?
Yessir. Here’s the Feb entries but it’s closed (open for voting - go vote!). Check the same area in the forum in the beginning of March for the next one tho.
I can’t, my seeds didn’t come from ILGM. I didn’t find this forum until after i had bought everything and started.
I got mine from Rocket Seeds in Canada. I only sprouted 2, so i have 3 more left. Next up is café racer. Supposed to be in the neighborhood of 35% thc. Going to try 3-4 plants in my 3x3 tent on a lot shorter veg cycle to keep things smaller, and hopefully finish a second run before it gets so hot i can’t grow in my shed. Ill have to lay low from like june-july through August. Seedlings like the warmer temps and high humidity, so i will probably do a 3rd run starting around September.
Aw - shoot. Yeah, this month is the first time in have ILGM buds since July of last year. I used a lot of diff seed banks first because ILGM is kinda $$ - but honestly so far they’ve been some of the easiest to grow. I’m also expecting good yields from the 3 I have going right now.
That’s a shame but gotta do what you gotta do, no doubt
