First time with Jacks 321 - not getting EC I should?

No, this is different, something Nicky used to say, I copied this from him in an old thread:

Ph only after silica if you add it. Silica spikes PH and you can’t add nutrients without dropping PH or it will cause drop out.

Not sure yet what the difference is between Jack’s 123 and Jack’s pure and simple nutrients. With the pure and simple nutrients I only need to add 1 part nutrients and epsom salt according to it’s schedule. Don’t have to do the part A, part B and epsom salt. All I know is it has been working great so far.

If your base water after adding silica is too high you will have to lower it to get the other salts to dissolve properly. In my case it’s not an issue.

Sounds easy enough, but where do you find it?
I don’t see it on their website or Amazon under that name…
Is it something they don’t make anymore or something?

Search for it on Jack’s site…not a great website to find things

It will show what comes in set…then I just bought individually off Amazon. I didnt get the nutrients for cloning and early veg…figured soil I used had enough in it for a while.

Yeh I found it. It’s the 12-4-16 stuff. It doesn’t have an actual name though.
First option in that screenshot I posted above.
I suppose I’ll have to try that next

So I just got off the phone with Jack’s customer service, and they said that they’re just using estimates for total EC numbers in their charts, even though the charts on their website are broken down into 2 categories for RO/tap waters.

They also said that they just recently changed some chemicals and that the part b EC’s would be lower, but haven’t updated the packaging yet. I was instructed that it wasn’t necessary to increase dosage of Part B to hit the .85 EC the package says, and to expect a lower EC number (which also contributes to a lower total EC number as well), but the nutrient content would be the same (not sure I understand how that works…).

Bottom line I guess is just mix according to weight, and don’t worry about EC’s, except for relativity between feeds in regard to plant needs of course.

@Autos-only …seems like relevant info

That’s interesting, and confusing.
