Can anybody help me with what this is on the bottom? Could it just be nute burn from not being careful and splashing while watering? Really noticeable on the bottom first leaves.
To me it looks like a calcium deficiency, but the cause could be the pH of your water, or many other things. Try to answer the questions here, and someone with more experience than me will be around shortly. The more info you give them, the better they’ll be able to help you.
- What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed
- Method: Soil w/salt, Organic soil, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, KNF
- Vessels: Pots, Grow beds, Buckets, Troths
- PH of Water, Solution, runoff (if Applicable)
- PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable
- Indoor or Outdoor
- Light system
- Temps; Day, Night
- Humidity; Day, Night
- Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size
- AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier,
- Co2; Yes, No
I think calcium deficiency also.
Keep in mind not to assume that a calcium deficiency is always a result of a lack of calcium. More often than not it’s there, but not available to the plants because of a pH or other environmental issues. That’s why it’s good to fill out that form. Giving your plant calcium now is probably not the best thing to do. I imagine the experts will suggest a flush first, but they’ll need more info first.
I am a newer grower but I generally would not associate a calcium deficiency with a plant as young as this one appears to be. If it is, CalMag is in order. The below is from Royal Queen Seeds
The following represent symptoms of a calcium deficiency:
- New growth at the top of the plant is primarily affected.
- Young growth slows, new leaves curl. Fresh growth is twisted and dies off quickly. Young shoots are purple or yellow.
- What strain, abusive og/seedbank
- Method: ff happy frog
- Vessels: smart pots
- Runoff as of last watering was around 6.5
- Waiting for meter to arrive
- Indoor
- Light system
- Temps; 75F / 70F
- Humidity; 50%
Thanks for the help. Here is some more info.
Well, One of the leaves on the plant did look like it curled a bit, but it was a healthy looking leaf and its not like that anymore. Growth isn’t slowing, new growth looks OK.
