First grow with Great White Shark strain fem

How often do you think watering should occur for promix hp? I mixed some more perlite into it aswell ao it doesnt pack down to much. Ive noticed the seedlings like that more. In the solo cups having to water once every other day with nutrients now. Starting to look better!

This sounds about right. May vary a little depending on size of pot, how much root mass plant has, and environmental conditions, but i think you’re on the right track.

2nd week of recovery and the little sharks are looking much better. Not sure why the right ones leaves are curling under like that, is that normal?

Not sure if its just from shock of no nutes for that first week?

Giving them about 4oz (1/2 cup) of water every other day.

Today was the first day they needed another 4oz or half cup. Normal amount of nutes. I make 1L batches and it lasts half a week. Ph testing it everytime before I give to plants. Ph is 6.0 exactly now. The little sharks are looking better.

Any advice is welcomed.

Just smoked some good ol cherry 18 we had laying around. Tastes so good :+1:
I hope everyone else is doing well.

Happy growing!

Thanks man! It does get confusing on how to tell the symptoms of what youve done to the plant lol. I hope it gets easier!

The root mass is very small, but the left shark is looking better than the right one.

Left shark is growimg faster and has roots coming out the bottom of the solocup but not root bound to the cup yet. Cant transplant until there is enough to hold the soil together. Waiting 1+ weeks.

Right shark roots are not so well established. Probably need another week for this one. Its behind. It may bounce back fast, we will see!

RH is 21-45% throughout the day
Temps are perfect 16-18C at night. Day 22-27C.
Fan blowing on little sharks enough to make them dance abit.
I soray once or twice a day in tent. Flaps at bottom open for good air in.
Exhaust stale air out the top.
Sf2000 dimmed at 60-70% on 18/6 cycle.

Sounds like you have things pretty well dialed in. You don’t need to worry about transplanting either of these right now. As a general rule of thumb, you want to wait until leaves are extending over sides of solo cups. You can certainly wait longer, but that is pretty much the ideal time.

I noticed you’re spraying twice per day, are cups holding moisture weight or pretty much dry? You can water some now, just allow cups to dry out some before watering again. If the cups are dry a few ounces per cup should do. If they are wet let dry out first and then give a few ounces.

Since i water in the mornings theyare dry when i check after work. I am trying to let them dry out before watering again. I just mist at night before bed and in morning to keep RH at about 30-40% seems to work lol.

Thanks man! I appreciate your support and positive thoughts! Im sure ill get the hang of this. Hoping to do 3 runs before winter.

Got it, that is best time to water.

You can put these into flower in about 4 weeks. If you’re growing from seed you’ll want to start next round of seeds at least 5 weeks prior to harvest so that you can put those plants right into flower when these are chopped.

I am growing from seeds. Only have the 1 tent so how do you suggest I dry and start seedlings?

Can you give more detail about the last statement you said.

The little sharks have bounced back team! Thank you for all your support. I think it is time to let them grow and try to keep things steady! I’m hoping for some super growth coming. No more drooping, they are standing straight up, def needed some nutes! full strength here on out!

Plants in veg don’t need any darkness. If you have room and a light there is no need for an additional functioning grow tent.

Oh I see what you mean. Just gotta keep them stable with temps and a light.

You really don’t even have to do that. A 3-4 week old plant that is stunted is still 3-4 weeks ahead of a seed, just needs to be corrected.

Wow that is some next level shit! lol. I get it. I didn’t think that would work, hmmm I’ll have to keep that in mind. When I top these little sharks I think I’ll be taking some clones from them, probably 1 or 2 each. Only want to handle 2-4 plants at a time: max.

You have evolved my thinking kind sir! thank you for your insight! <3
Happy growing!

I’ll have any update posted later tonight. The ladies are looking awesome this morning.

Update on the little sharks, they are looking very happy and healthy now! See pictures attached.

Ive been feeding every other day in the morning. Misting at night since my RH is low around 20%, and this brings it back up to 30-50%
Temps are 27C, night temps 21C
Watering 4oz (1/2 cup) every other day, ph 6.0
2 fans circulating air in my tent. One cooling the SF2000 LED full spectrum light. Dimmed to 70% for now.
Finally watered full strength nutes:
4 ml micro, grow,bloom each per L
2ml voodoo juice, bud candy, and b-52
Guidance is from the budapp going on week 4.

Currently they have 3 nodes I think?

Update from the last post, the full strength nutrients did help bring back the color! Looking really good now, just topped these guys at the 4th node. Going to wait a week or two now and do some training for more colas!

Hey guys, what speed and settings do you use in veg for your exhaust fan and circulating fans?

@dbrn32 @ChittyChittyBangin @SheilaT

Currently, have 2x 6 inch pole fans. One blowing on the plants slightly making them dance, so its low to the ground. The second fan is at the light level cooling that.

Exhaust is up top moving air out when high temps come to 28C or high humidity of 65%+.

Is it wise to keep fans on low speed and not use the high temps and high humidity settings to move stale air out of the tent?

What is the best experience you guys have had?

You want your exhaust to run while lights are on at bare minimum. If you can do this and keep temps and rh in check is most ideal.

For some reason the little sharks look different. Ones bright green and the other is a dark green. Both the same strain, not sure why the darker one is looking droopy? Maybe these girls are root bound to much now? Anyone know what the cause could be?

The first 2 pics are plant#2, not so happy.

These pics are plant#1 nice and happy.

Ive figured the issue might be; watering them. Fed them both phd water 5.9 since the run off was 7.0ph soiless mix seems to have a high ph for run off. Wonder if plant#2 is locked out becaise of that?

Plant#1 run off was about 6.2ph not bad.
Lights at 24" distance at 60%.
Rh is 40%
Going on 4 weeks old. Topped them last night at the 4th node. Took off 2 of the bottom leaves to make more light penetration on the 2-4 lower potential bud sites.

Everything else looking good.

Hey Fam, just wanted to say thanks for all the advice. I figured out what was wrong with plant#2. ph lockout because I’m using vinegar for the ph down. going to go out and get some real ph down that is more balanced. Hopefully the plant comes back to life after I fix this issue tomorrow!

Still looking very sad, but plant#1 is loving it still. Her ph is 6.5

Plant#2 ph is 7.2 last I checked the run off.

Should I flush plant#2 with 5.9 or 6.0 ph water until the run off tests around the same?

Lots of people run into issues adjusting ph with household products. If it’s not a hassle I would flush and reset nutrients to get a fresh start.
