More pinchin and slappin going on.
Wagon wheel laying down is what I go for.
Sometimes the spokes are not equidistant but it’s all about keeping them in the light.
I bet they are happy getting out of those 1 gallon pots…I know I would be.
Will be shortening days in about a 5 days or so and doing it over the following 6 days instead of all at once like a hard flip.
Will be shortening daylight gradually dropping 20 min off each end of the light period. Will get it down to 14 light and 10 dark that should get em into flower.
Only have to adjust about 6 freakin timers each day.
Not sure if I’ve done it this way previously but hey no risk no gain.
I left some food laying on the topsoil for fungus to grow to help feed the fungus gnats to help feed the beneficial nematodes lol.
Here is my lights staggered going off.
If I was a plant I sure wouldn’t want all on BAM or all off all at once.
Far red on 20 min prior and off 20 min after last white light.
4 fixtures off at different times.
Same in morning
Does it help? I don’t know but again if I was a plant…
Why the DE? I use it a lot to kill things like bugs and fire ants. I would have thought that it would dry out the soil or kill the organisms in the soil.
This was an experiment I did to see how well worm poo did providing the plant the nutrients without adding anything else.
It worked up to a point but being in a 1 gallon pot I ended up having to top dress additional nutrients
I used it as aeration and to provide silica. The size is about the size of coarse perlite. The product is actually floor dry and all natural but not the powdered DE which I also add to my soil and have used for pest control up top.
When wet the powdered DE becomes less effective in its death by a 1000 cuts killing method so when in a moist soil it loses its super powers for that and provides silica. That’s my story anyway lol.
This is what I use for aeration and drainage in my soils now minus the perlite except what is mixed in already in bagged soil.
I put the lava rock at bottom to keep their feet from being too wet and top that off with some pumice.
I also put pumice as well as all the others into the soil mix again minus the perlite using about 1 gallon of each into a 1.5 cuft soil.
I take these extra steps as I’m reusing the 15 gallon pots for future grows doing a no till style and amending the soil for the next round saving me time and money in the long run.
Used the last of the beneficial Nemo’s toads today it was the second application and then followed with a nice tea.
Only a couple G Nats flying around so the toads are doing their job.
Way better than mosquito bits.
Lil update
Jack H should be ready to harvest within the week.
The rest in flower another couple weeks or so
Radishes should have seeds to collect very soon haha
I started the light flip 5 days ago adjusting timers by 20 min forward in morning and 20 min back for night so each day gets shorter by 40 minutes and tomorrow will be my final adjustment and they will be on a 14/10 cycle and the other 5 in veg should go into flower in a week or two with the far red light starting and ending the days for them.
I’ve always struggled with available amps in the past running two 4x8 tents and yesterday I was in the laundry room and realized it was wired for 220 for the dryer but I run a gas dryer so I’ll be splitting that 40amp breaker into 2 20 amp outlets and all my power limitations will be solved and won’t have to tap into other plugs with extension cords from other rooms and the breaker box is right there in one of the tent rooms. So glad that’s gonna be handled.
Beautiful looking plants there growmie!!! Should be a few very nice harvests outta those ladies!!! Just ordered a couple Jack H hybrids from Brothers Grimm that I’m pretty excited about. Heard Jack H is a pretty solid strain. Yours is looking quite nice!!!
