Like i said i personally love organics alot more its just simple and not time consuming lol
I noticed with one of my plants the first set of leafs are stuck together I tried to pull them apart gently but didn’t have any luck how do I fix it? Or do I just let it grow and it’ll pull itself apart?
It happens from time to time if you cant physically pull them apart slowly and carefully then high humidity should help also it looks like it is the cotyledon leafs that are stuck from the seed hull yhose two little stuck leafs can realistically just be pulled off and it shouldn’t effect the plant any as those typically fall off rather quick anyways
Alright thank you!
I added so re read!
In the future you can gently hold the stem close to the stuck leaves to support them. Stick a sewing needle through the film with the tip of the needle between the leaves. If the seed coat is still stuck as well I use the needle to pry it loose while taking care not to stick the cotyledon. Sometimes a helmet head will stunt early growth or even occasionally kill the seedling. I’ve done enough side by side comparisons now to say that there is a pretty good chance that the longer it is left the harder it is for the seedling to recover. Probably 50% of the ones I’ve left tuned out to be the smallest in the grow at harvest.
Misting helmet with water will soften it, making easy removal.
I snipped the tip of the stuck ones to open it up it’s still looking pretty good today, has anyone used lotus nutrients was thinking trying a plant with lotus’s sampler kit and one with coast of Maine and just see if I see any notably differences
I’ve ran lotus before I switched to Jacks. It’s good, but pricey. I had a great grow with it, I’ll look for pics…
Damn those are pretty!
Thank you!
For sure! The reviews I was seeing was saying lotus gives you massive stalks
I’m definitely gonna give it a shot and see the difference and decide which I wanna go with
Good luck and happy growing!
forgot that part. I usually give them a drop of water on the helmet when I see it pop up. If it’s still there the next day I use the needle to remove it or at least tear the film enough for the cotyledon to open.
They are two different methods. Lotus being synthetic and COM being organic. They will be a little different in their application and best practices. For the most part fertilizer is fertilizer. One isn’t inherently better than the other. As long as your giving your plants complete and balanced nutrition they will likely grow fine kind. Some are easier to use than others though.
bro do you trust that heater i be scared shitless to use it I have a tiny one remember it’s such a small tent it don’t take much to heat up
The oiled filled ones? Yes I do they are analog and on my controllers they do not get hot hot.
