My first grow from seed I topped but didn’t defoliate how we looking ?

You are probably at the point of doing a defol. Strip the bottom third of the plant completely and remove any fan leaves that are shading the lower canopy. Then once again at +45 days in flower.

One is “go sherb” that I found in a sack from the dispo the other two are Gelazzi ( Gelato 33 X animal cookies ) from greenpoint seeds in Colorado . Or they were they just moved after I got the seeds . I’m from Colorado also

Thank you … yah I planned on doing that on day 21 which is 2 days away … you think 30 percent ? Ughh I get so scared to defoliate and didn’t do much during veg cause of it

sigh … hopefully i do it right i haven’t defoliated at all on one during veg and its a mess a 3rd is a lot of plant

1/3 is a lot but so worth it. Gives you plenty of air flow and the stuff at the bottom doesn’t really produce anything but popcorn. Congratulations on your grow it’s awesome

thanks john yah i appreciate the advice it’s my first grow from seed so im fairly new ive done a lot of research and have grown clones once before . its a new light also. the one gelazzi plant in the right corner is a beast . i’m going to defoliate tom night should i even get rid of the lower nodes like the first sucker branch or do i just strip it until the ends till it’s up a third

thanks!!! i know i need to i’m just scared to overdue it and stress it out . i’m planning on defoliating tom night im thinking of clipping the very bottom node side suckers and fan leaves covering bud sites . ill post more pictures when i goto turn my light off later for yall

Bottom 1/3 completely. It send the energy to the top. Of course autos are a different story. It seems like it takes for ever for it to recover.

so even the bottom suckers completely off the plant ? or do i keep it and just strip a third way up on that branch plant wise … if i am making any sense

Well you’re doing an awesome job. And I’m a first time grower myself . My plants will be 4 weeks old Tuesday. I just defoliated mines yesterday

nice ! the go sherb was born on may 12 and the gelazzi june 8th and i just switched all of them to 12/12 3 weeks ago monday

If you’re on your phone (not sure with computer) but the three lines at the top right will bring down a menu. Click on “New” and then around the top right youll see a plus sign with “New Topic”.
