First grow disater

Ok so for next time, what soil should i use, i see Fox farm ocean mist and happy frog mentioned here often with peoples own additives, but have also have read those are too hot, so kinda conflicting info

I use ocean forest. It’s a great soil. You don’t have to worry about nutes for like the first 4-6 weeks. Just water only. It can be hot for seedlings. I start my seeds in a basic seed starting potting mix in a solo cup. I’ll put about a shot glass worth of ocean forest on the bottom of the cup. Then when she’s big enough to transplant, she’ll go in a pot of the ocean forest with 20% perlite added.

Your plants are starved from oxygen due to over watering causing a total lockout. As I stated water every other day with the medium being dried out in between. If it isn’t dry don’t water. Fox farms is a good way to go if you want soil but it does get some buildup in late flower from my experience.
Another GREAT resource with hours of awesome videos is on YouTube is ā€œmr. canucksā€. He’s a coco grower and his outcome is phenomenal

It’ll be a game changer! It’s always nice to have a place like this we’re people actually help each other too.

Thanks for your prior assistance. all is fine now. Bow I just have to determine when they are done.

Great looking plants!!! You’ve come a long way. But you still have a ways to go. My guess is week 4 or 5 of flower?not always but 90% of the time the white pistils will start to turn red and recede. Shortly after that they will start to really bulk up and put on weight. When that happens make sure you have a jewelers loupe with a light and microscope handy to start looking at the trichomes. When 70% are cloudy and there are some turning Amber it’s time. Guessing 2-4 weeks

Yes some if the pistols are turning red/brown. They arent bulking up much. The bubble gums are getting so beefy they are tilting sideways due to weight. I’ll send a few pics in a bit.

that is seriously one of the best threads to read…, well done… everyone!:grinning:

Dude checked my plants today got this shot all over the buds on this ak. What the fuck is this… bud rot I heard about or mold ? Is this plant now garbage or salvageable. Trichomes still clear.15734906389627370995761769067214|243x500

Unfortunately that plant is garbage and needs to be disposed of IMMEDIATELY. That’s some of the worst mold I’ve seen. It could’ve stemmed from white powdery mildew which can be corrected if caught early. How are you other plants?? Photos?

It’s caused when your humidity gets too high or you have poor air circulation. That being said do you have enough fans blowing on your plants? Did you lollipop the base removing the large leave below the bud sites to allow air flow? How is your intake and exhaust system.
Smoking weed with mold on it is very bad for you.

Wow… not good… cut that sucker open and see if there’s a spider in there… if not its probably mold of some kind like stated above… Sry to see this… hope someone pops in that has seen this before to help u out!

The others are ok. Theres a little on a bubble gum but only a little so I will be cutting that out today. Bums me out I gotta kill that AK.

Here are photos of the others
These look ok. Have fans but were plugged into the wrong side so went off when lights went off. That was about a week. Here are pics of the others. Also please define lollypopping

in order gelato bubble gum, sprite

I had an issue like that once for a couple days and it’s crazy how high the humidity spikes already after lights out. I leave ALL of my fan and ventilation going 24/7 now. Sorry about your loss but I’m glad it was an isolated incident. If you want me to commiserate with you about bs happenings I’ll tell you that some prick I was trying to help out gave me a hermied bag seed that I was on the fence about and he swore to me it was a cutting and he couldn’t have it so I took it into my dry and veg tent. It pollinated and got into my intake of my main tent and I’m still dealing with it on a minimal level. I had to shut down all three tents and my entire basement with vinegar. What a nightmare.

Omg…that really sucks. I had 2 of 5 bite the big one here. My AK and WW. But still have Gelato, bubble gum and Sprite. I noticed the fan thing about a week ago but damage was apparently already done. My fans run 24/7. I had just moved some things around in the tent and when Plugged back in forgot a I had a ā€œtimed sideā€ and ā€œalways liveā€ side of the power strip…stoner move…

Please define lolly popping

oh noooo, oh well bud, at least u found out what it was…

Lollipoping is removing all of the leaves below the bud site for two reasons. One to increase airflow through the plant which lowers humidity and second is because the leaves below the bud sites take nutrients away from the flowers.

The first plant is mine the second is one I stole off the web for reference.
