Finally got the go ahead from the Mrs

Soak in 1 part hydrogen peroxide, two parts water for 24hr, TP seed at end make sure it sinks.

Transfer to damp paper towel piece, insert into Ziplock bag. Ziplock should go inside something light proof (I recommend grabbing tacos from old elpaso, or maybe it was burritos its hard to say I get the duel package, also now you have an easy dinner idea) use the foil taco bag or something to ensure no light gets to your soaked seed.

Place that bag on a controller regulated heat mat (inkbird) and fold it over top so the seed gets wrapped in the heat mat, if you don’t have one put this on your list. Your looking for something about 26-28c or around 79f. I’ve placed mine Ontop of the furnace many times, some use a cable box or WiFi modem.

Check. The seeds daily, they will get a nice tail then you can plant them once you know they are not dudss, they have cracked and tails are growing.

My bad dude. I just made you type all that for nothing. That’s good stuff though I bookmarked that post. The ones already got a tail and the other is cracking open. What I guess I should of just asked is what’s the proper way to plant the seed?

Yes, MG Perlite has a very small amount of fertilizer added, but it’s primary purpose is to prevent soil compaction, and it does that well. I have been using MG Perlite and have noted no issues with it.

Burry it in the soil just below the surface Infact place it Ontop of. The soil. And shower it with soil.

Seeds will always push their root down to the center of the earth due to magnetic fields.

@Newt @Nicky

Ok @newt if you think the miracle gro perolite will be fine for the seedlings in FFOF I’ll stop at lowes and buy it.

@Nicky thats a good idea thanks. What about watering the seed?

#1 error is over watering, so don’t over wster them. Just pour a little on them when they seem dry dry, try and judge by container by weight asap

Or just look at every seed ever planted in the entire history of this planet!

Probably cost us a billion dollars to figure out what hunter/gatherers figured out 50,000 years ago - seeds grow root down! LOL!

I’m getting cold feet about posting this on the internet haha.

It seems you have it figured out except maintaining temps in the winter and summer along with the humidity. Do you have any humidifiers or dehumidifiers? My grow is inside but due to my lights the temp gets too hot and I run an ac unit almost all year round. When winter comes around sometimes the veg tent wants a heater as my grow is in the basement on concrete flooring. Some other things that aren’t needed right away are trellis net and or twist ties to apply some LST due to height restrictions

Ok so I got a chance to lookin into DLI @Nicky @Newt I got the app and the full sprectrum LED in app purchase. Is there a chart somewhere that says what DLI or PPFD that I want for each stage of the growth? I also don’t understand the redline that’s drawn on that graph.

Red line

So I want it at 50 DLI the entire grow?
