No LST before reaching the screen. The video says to tie to the screen, but I just tuck the stems under the screen to the next hole in the SCROG. At some point the screen is getting where there is no more room to tuck without going over other stems. Then it is time to flip.

But wouldn’t LST and topping be good for more main branches to hit the screen ?

Topping or FIMing is good yes, but LST not necessary since the screen does that for you. The stems running horizontal will create bud sites also. The plant wants to get upwards. Keeping it horizontal lets all the stems get a shot at growth vs. a single cola being dominate.

yes or let it get a bit above the screen and “tuck” it under the screen again heading towards a different opening of the screen. It makes sense when you actually start doing it.
I don’t tie to the screen myself. Pain to do and remove the ties at harvest time. I just tuck under the screen.
Tuck, Tie, Supercrop, you are trying to create as many tops as you can in the small space.

Okay, what worries menus what do you mean with when the plant stays horizontal it’s shortens growth. Since I wanna 4 way LST does it means my buds will be smaller.

the plant will give more effort and growth to the taller colas which will get more light. By keeping everything even no one part dominates.
there is a point where you can top too much also. A plant can only sustain so many flowers. To many and they will be smaller perhaps.
