Feeding of Nutes

Yes. I need to pick up some Dry Kool Bloom but I have everything else. Just keep the TDS moderate and I like to keep the PH right at 6.0 with it.

Perhaps you can mentor me ?

I would be happy to mentor you. I would suggest that if you are going to do that though; you make an effort to listen to only one person unless you find they are incompetent lol.

Agreed!
Last winter after shitloads of research, I bought a Fluence Spydr X and decided to try my first indoor crop with vegetables. I used General Hydroponics 3 part and quickly figured out the mixes they suggest are not for tomatoes or peppers! Certainly not for lettuce! I did kratsky for the lettuce, rubbermaid tubs with net pots and sight tubes with bubbles. And a tomato with 5 gallon dutch bucket and bubbles.
In the beginning I nute burned everything and over time I sorta got the hang of it. My wife said she could see the damage like counting rings on a tree! Healthy growth, then burnt leaves, then more healthy ones etc.
I then realized that GH was full of shit! And that what they reccomend was purely for weed and not vegetables! Eventually, that dutch bucket was puking tomatoes everywhere! Had it wrapping around the back wall! But ultimately the root filled the entire pail and the plant became stressed, I couldnā€™t feed it fast enough. It was drinking a 5 gallon pail every 2 days!

So this year, Iā€™m thinking of trying soiless? Maybe less work?
Do you use the reccomend doses from GH? I couldnā€™t make them work for me. My PH was 5.8 in the mixing pail, then I would add that to the bucket/ rubbermaid, wIt for a few minutes for it to all bubble together, drain a cup full pour that back in, drain another cup test it for PH and correct gently. Does that sound right?

@Myfriendis410 is right about finding one person to listen to, to make things easier.
But what you are doing is more work than is needed. I have only used the GH nutes and just mix them, adjust and use.

Do you mix according to their schedule? The chart they have? Or whatā€™s recommended on the bottles?

Pretty much. I broke it down for me though. I use the numbers I did on the side in my grow journal so I can look back and see exactly how I was feeding. I use a different chart in flower since I use the Big bud series of additives. This chart makes it easy to see at a glance what to feed

So how often are you using Cal Mag? Each mix?

Yes. I use 1/2 tsp per gallon in veg. and then 1 tsp per gallon in pre flower. then back to 1/2 in flower. I stop using it the last 2 weeks before the plant finishes. For me, I found I show light deficiencyā€™s in pre flower if I donā€™t use a little more. Bot for feeding and watering. When I water. I just use 1/4 tsp per gallon though.

:point_up_2:t5::point_up_2:t5: U pickd a goodā€™n too!

Yeah ok I get that. As a mid 50 year old dude I learned one thing valuableā€¦ advice needs to be weighed and sorted. My granny used to say believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.
