Outdoor grow-
Autos- bubble gum and blueberry.
5 gal grow bags
Combo happy frog/ocean dirt
Water is rain water
Supplementing nuts with ilgm flower food.
I had added perlite to the mix and have about an inch on the bottom of the pot. My drainage might actually be too good. Had them out in some rain today to rinse some pine pollen off and they are already light again.
I am in about week 4 of flowering- is it normal for some leaves to start turning yellow? I am presuming they start putting more effort into the flowers vs these leaves and since all the other leaves look good that it is normal. But I am curious.
On a side note…
I have 3 younger plants in 7 gallon bags, less perlite they are heavy from the rain. Interestingly, I had them away from my onion plants and I found some aphids. So they are all back in the onion patch. Lol Also, aphids are dead.
If its at the bottom, then this happens as the plant develops the flowers. And that one is near the bottom. I didn’t see any other problem jump out that would cause it.
Only one other leaf shows damage at the tip of the leaf.
Now this maybe a cause for concern. There is white dots in the red circle area.
I will tag an expert for his input as I am not 100% on this plant. What say you @Myfriendis410?
I don’t see any real issues other than pointed out by @MrPeat . I would do a close exam of the undersides of leaves and keep an eye on it. Like pointed out; older leaves yellow and drop during flower. It’s perfectly normal.
4++ more weeks lookig nice. Fan leaves turning yellow duri g flower in normal in most cases. The plants done using those leaves, pulled all the remaining nutes and moisture out.
Updated pics…
I got a little macro lens to attach to my phone so I added an up close pic too. Simply because I was fascinated. What do you all use for up close and person images?
For outside grows when it rains, how do you handle the feeding schedule? I don’t water my plants to the extreme of what they got this morning. We got almost an inch of rain. I would have been on target to feed tomorrow. I am thinking they will still be pretty wet. They have great drainage but I will be surprised if they are dry that soon. So do you wait til they dry out more then water/feed?
Thanks!
First how do you get a good pic of the trichomes? I bought a macro lens for my phone and I have a jewelers loop too. But I am new so I am like… Are we getting milky or now? Basically I feel like ignorant.
I am feeling like I got more to go, that its not cloudy enough. Bubblegum looks more cloudy to me then the blueberry.
Bubbegum… sprouted april 7th
Alright… I am seeing amber in the trichomes of my bubblegum plant. But I also still see clear ones. Am I getting close? Is she done and ready for a serious bud wash? She has been seriously coated in jacks dead bug and some insecticidal soap. Aphids suck.
