Drying an slh, waiting on 6 to finish and cloning. I’m still fairly new to anything hands on really. Finishing first indoor. Ages ago I helped with outside plants, burned the hell out of my one previous mentionable attempt. Back then we just planted seedlings, came by once to top then harvest. Was hardly “growing” like it is now. Mother plant really needs trimmed down but she’s just so pretty. May flip her as soon as currently flowering plants are finished and use one of her recent clones as a mother plant instead. Got lucky with the pheno on this one.
She’s looking sooooo nice and perky. All the best bro. I’ve wasted so much on just buying smokes over the years that I’m sure I could’ve set up a really decent tent. Oh well, never too late to start coz I ain’t quitting the doobie anytime soon. Might as well try smoke my own harvest if I get any with this try. Haha. We hitting peak winter in about 3 weeks.
My entire set up cost less than the first two times the wife and I went to despinsary. Which was less than a year ago. We’ve both been smoking 20 years. Imagine the money wasted. To he fair though we were like kids in a candy shop. Got 6 carts, 4 concentrates, 2 eights and an oz at the first shop. Was over $1000. Then I did more research and found a much better dispensary called Lume. Much better products for much less $. Still more expensive than street prices tho. Gotta tax the hell out of it.
Yooooooooh… Here in South Africa that $1000 is almost my full Salary. Crazy how the world works. Because prices are relative to your earnings. Although I’ve only managed to research online shops in SA and I’m really sceptical about online purchases. No cannibas grow shops nearby. Only plain on nurseries and fertilizer shops. I’ve just changed most of the soil in that container to an organic fertilized potting mix with some coco.
I got a quote for material to build a closet which I will be doing end of this month.
So you started about a year ago and I see you very successful. Congrats Bud.
Stay tuned for an update in the near future.
Do you have signs of deficiency? If using organic start a compost pile. Organic soils usually have some microbes and everything in there doing work already. You could also make some homemade calmag.
Or use a small amount of molasses. And yeah currency exchange rates/economics are crazy. Most Americans don’t know how cheap it really is to travel out of the country, they spend twice as much going to the beaches and theme parks here. $1000 goes no where here, in 2001 me and 3 others spent a month in Europe on $2000. Went to Oktoberfest and everything. Way better than a week in Florida where the hotel alone costs that. $1000 doesn’t even get you two months rent in our poorest welfare states anymore. Not if you want electric too anyway.
I’ve kind of been playing that game lately, wondering how much I spent on street weed and I’m sure I could have funded a nice grow space in last years purchases
Now I just gotta convince the girlfriend that it’s all so worth it
My first grow I used Alaskan fish food as it was cheap and easily found at the local store. Then I started using advanced nutrients micro grow bloom. They turned out actually really good. I had a cheap 100 dollar Amazon light and a 4 inch filter. I pulled 4.5 oz dry weight from 2 plants.
My first grow was me doing everything diy cheap or Amazon’s cheapest. Now I’m having to by more equipment. So yes people are right when they say don’t skimp on a light.
What you learn this grow will make the next that much better.
Caught up…I’m tracking… You are feeding one of the more advanced products in this country … good choice…by the looks of it you are in Gauteng …should you need help, I’m here if you want…
Wow!!! Thanks peeps… This really makes me wanna update… I flipped em tonight to 12/12 at 18:00…
I made a makeshift closet and by makeshift I really mean makeshift. I got cardboard and taped up a suitable size. I put like two small cups of water inside for the humidity not sure if that will help.

I’m an organic grower…I build my own living soils and amend according to plant needs… I cannot venture a guess on the outcome of your plants… too many variables… Ultimate growth would happen between 23°C and 27°C with the appropriate VPD dialled in…

Then maybe some of the peepz and yourself can throw some tips at me…
This is the 2nd day of the light cycle change and they doing good… I’m just letting nature run its course with about 10% manipulation from my side
Experienced peepz what do yall think? Should I make any adjustments? Since I flipped with the 2 small ones I’m gonna continue with them. I know it’s supposed to be 1 plant in a pot and I have no idea of the outcome with 4 being in this 10L. Let’s say this grow is much of a learning effort and if there’s any harvest, even if there’s none, I will start the next with a bit more knowledge than now.
Thanks everyone for the tips and posts. Even if it’s not on my thread it really does help. Awesome people here.
