Your going to like this lol @HJL
I monster cropped a ssh last season and planted outdoors under a scrog
She filled a 8x4 screen and would have been 8-9 foot tall if i would have let her grow up woohoo
I actually just moster cropped a shihkaberry i have in flower she got new growth now so ill be keeping her fir another scrog grow outdoors maybe lol
@HJL If you wanna check out my journal i have a monster cloned Superskunk that i took 18 new clones off of and now am flowering.
Lile some one else mentioned the new growth looked differnt for a while after it started to veg again. And it a bushy monstrosity. After it was cut i soaked it in water until i was ready then cut at an angle, dipped in great white and stuck in a rapid rooter phd6.5, humidity done and 60watt clf. And heating pad 24/7 until it took off then after a fee wks went to the 18/6
Iill be following along, sounds like it could be a good one.
Sorry; on the road today lol.
Yes; monster cropping is to take a cutting from a flowering plant. The root vigor experienced by us doing this technique showed that it was sometimes more vigorous than the parent plant! I did a GL harvested in December that had no techniques other than supercropping and we pulled 7+ oz from a 4 1/2 month plant in coco.

Ok itâs been four days or so and she has gotten taller. She is loving the light @dbrn32 and I built. Only thing is I donât like how that one tall leaf is pointing down. I did give her 300 ml of pHâd water a few days ago and I give her a light mist twice a day.
No nutes yet. Should I?
Any comments are welcomed.
Remember clones are adult plants and need to be treated as such
If she is rooted you should be feeding her
Glad youâre happy with the light! The only question I have is if that node spacing was in the cutting or has developed since? If it was already there, donât sweat it. If the plant is stretching though you may want to run light a little closer.
I agree with @Countryboyjvd1971 on the feeding. We often forget about the age thing using clones just because theyâre small. A clone will always be a clone. But once rooted and growing, itâs a mature plant and needs to be treated as such.
With regards to feeding @dbrn32 @Countryboyjvd1971 I usually following my GH schedule. To me I cloned her two weeks ago so I should be feeding her week 2 on the schedule.
Is this true or should I be feeding her a early veg mid veg or late veg. I donât want to over feed her.
Thanks
Mid veg is probably best to start with @HJL or early veg even you can always adjust up
Yep I agree, standard veg nutes give or take a little.
Itâs been approximately 5 weeks since I started this project and I was hoping she would be bigger. It took a long time for her to have new growth. The girl beside her in the red pot is a Green Crack that I monster cropped on March 27th.
Do monster cropped girls take longer to have new growth then normal clones? I have three monster cropped girls that show no signs of new growth.
Only my White Widow has shown progress with new growth.
Should I be doing something different?
Thanks everyone.

They can take a little longer cause they would need to grow roots and revert back to veg first
And a clone taken in veg only needs to produce roots
I agree with @Countryboyjvd1971. Thereâs a lot more going on, and is normal to take quite a bit longer.
Can take 2 to 3 times as long or longer but be 2 to 3 times bigger or bigger now is when your patience is tested
Plant has to revert to veg cycle which takes time for the hormones saying bloom to leave itâs system so yes monster cropped clones tend to take considerably longer to pick up but they have an edge. They start with many limbs and tops all clustered tight nodes compared to standard clones or sprouts
All good information here! I took 12 clones from my flowering Gold Leaf on 3/24 and now I know what to plan for. One question: why is it callled monster cropping?
Good question @Momtomask. Maybe because the new plant will be a monster and produce pounds at harvest. At least I hope.
Kinda like growing a single bud into a tree.
When they start to flower, the nodes stack up really tight. When you reveg, those nodes are all gonna want to reach for the sky.
