I did it for both reasons actually and to be honest I bought the vivosun 6mil 4ftx100ft roll for like 80 something and it was totally worth it I barely used a half a roll! Gonna use the rest in my old flower room since I already have it! I went with the 6mil so I could just use staples without worrying about it ripping and it worked perfect wrapped my corners and all never tore once!

I use the same stuff. Was really surprised how durable it is. Over two year old and still looks brand new.
