So I measured my runoff numbers on all 3 remaining plants, all in late flower (Banana Kush week 9, Bluefruit Autos week 7) My EC coming out was extremely high:
Banana Kush- 4272 out, 3768-in
Bluefruit #1- 5519 out, 3672-in
Bluefruit #2- 6006 out, 3753-in
I’ve been watering to close to 20% runoff all the time, I don’t get it. Using Jack’s 321 but scaled down slightly, Part: 3 grams, Epsom-1 gram, Part B-2 grams. Never had an issue before and will do a flush to bring down to acceptable range. Did a support ticket just in case. Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated.

My EC input using Jacks has never been above 2.2, usually it’s below 2.0. It seems like something is off here, Those numbers I gave are for the 3.6/2.4/1.2 ratio. I am using the 4/2 ratio now with no epsom and it was 1.86 today. I am growing in coco and adding tribus. Maybe you are using a different way of measuring EC? I am using an Apera-EC20.

I’m using microsiemens as the measurement so it’s easier for me. I believe you’re setting is minisiemens. I’m thinking I need to water more frequently to get more flow through the roots to flush any build up.

Still, 2.2=2200 from what I understand. Is your tap water 1,000ppms? I am on a well and my water is like .220EC or 110ppms. Maybe the scales you use to measure the weight of the Jacks is off? I am just spitballin here.

Yeah, that is high! I got lucky with my new well. I know @Hellraiser was using those big blue water bottle refills for his grows because his tap water was so high. Sorry I’m not more helpful.

A little salt build up Brother, give them a good flush. I’ve had this happen a few times and a
Good rinse and 30% run off moving forward has worked for me

That was my plan of attack. Never had an issue with the current nutrient lineup I’m using. Granted I did miss a day here and there watering due to being busy. That’s most likely how it built up.

Finished the flushes on all plants and got them to proper numbers. Banana Kush was hit hard and took 6 gallons to get all that salt build up out. Not too high hopes for her but I’m gonna let it ride. She has a few weeks left. Gave a good feed after the flush and feel good about the Bluefruit autos. Waiting for the goldleaf to dry and cure in the cannatrol, then in with one of them. Appreciate all the help.

Are those numbers ppm? Why is your input so high?

I goofed on the tap water’s ppm, it’s 410. I let my coco build up salt. Lesson learned.

Howdy. Ya the plants told me something was up. So I checked the runoff numbers and they were extremely high. I made a mistake by getting busy and let the coco dry out. Salt built up and leaves yellowed bad. I typically don’t check numbers because coco is so easy. It just bit me in the butt this time.

Nice work Brother, definitely easier than soil to get back on track

I really learned a valuable lesson here and that’s important. I have no doubt that in the future that I will improve my growing skills. The banana kush is the worst and I have no clue how it will smoke. I’m just gonna let it ride since it may have a few weeks left. Gonna check the runoff again tomorrow and have been feeding a slightly lower dose of Jacks. Runoff is noticeably clearer. Thanks brother for all the kind words.
