Easter Babies/Big Bud & Family 1st Grow

@Wishingilivedina420state… I looked up meter, was given link before, I forgot, so much info. I’m sticking with this cause I just bought big bottles of buffer solution and calibrated and always comes out good. I just don’t know what to do next. Asked for help no reply yet. Chocolade has rows of white flowers on several branches, looks like Christmas tree :grimacing::seedling:yaaah

@bonnie1 I’m certainly not an expert by any means, so my advice can be taken with a grain of salt. It sounds like the girls are doing quite well. You may have just had a odd reading that one time on the one plant. If they look good and are continuing to grow and produce flowers, I probably wouldn’t change a d*mn thing. Unless they are showing signs of anything, I’d keep plugging right along.

Those numbers for that soil aren’t to far off usually fox farms soil is slightly on the acidic side for the run off, so lets say for example, you send it in at 6.5 it should come off around 6.0-6.1.

I would hold off on nutes and see get a ppm reading, when all else fails turn to ppm it will pretty much help pinpoint the rest of the problems, or Atleast definitely make them easier to find and correct

Thanks so much… but what is ppm? I haven’t done that yet and don’t know what it is, :woman_shrugging:

Ppm is parts per million. If you have a ph meter only that doesn’t take ppm readings, invest in a ppm meter they will come in handy

Ok, thanks I’ll check into that, maybe they have at local hydro store … hopefully when I do next runoff it will be straightened out, they look good and I’ll keep at it, happy birthday :grimacing::beer::birthday:… it’s ok to have beer & cake when you’re stoned :joy::joy:

Hi @bonnie1 sorry so long on the reply I over slept to and now late for work, owell
After everything I’m reading I beleave you can fix your problems with just a flush, if you go to the hydro store they will have it there.
What the flush does is wash away all the b.s.
All the build ups and let the plant take in nutes again.

Ok, when I go to hydro store I’ll get that flush and find out more about how to do it. Is it easy, probably not, lol :joy:… I have to water and do runoff on 2 girls affected, they look good but want to just have this problem gone. I’m workin on it

@McLovin777… hey what’s up? Is your grow ok? Read that you thought you had root rot or something. I’m having ph crap but they look great. Chocolade has rows of white flowers on several branches, hoping for a great yield and without those farkin problems, lol…hope you’re doin ok :grimacing:

Very easy :+1::+1::+1:

Nice to hear from you miss Bonnie, I did have in hydro but they all survived the move to soil:D happy days! Mine are all starting to show cute little flowers which is cool, just hoping the same as you a nice phat yield and NO major fu ups along the way :sunny: hope you and your family are well xx

Doin good and hangin in there… :grimacing:

@Wishingilivedina420state… runoff was little better went in at 7.5 and runoff was 5.9 so it’s getting better anyway. Haven’t gone to store yet, gotta do runoff on big bud tomorrow, plus I’m so busy getting ready for company. But I had to use ph up when I did nutes, it seemed unusual cause it was a lot to get the ph at 6.5, weird right? That’s when this happened. I’m not doing nutes till I get this ph right again. So I’m gonna stick with it and I’m using a clean white paper towel to get runoff, squeezing into cup…impossible to pull anything else from under those plants and somehow gotta get a net up in that big tent by weekend, so many white bud flowers in rows up the branches, I’m lovin it!! :crossed_fingers: :smiley:

@bonnie1…No I didn’t see the ties! Good! It makes a difference in the size of your buds believe me1 Yes I love gardening and lived on 40 acres in Canada and grew everything! Also fished and had a stream in the front yard where I used to catch rainbow trout to eat! I miss that but I don’t miss Canada! Wishing lots of luck with your grow!

@bonnie1 @Kapelady
Bonnie go to your kitchen drawer pull out the turkey Baster you’ve had for 20 years and use it to pick up the run off… then next time you are at the dollar store buy your self a new turkey baster for the next 20 years…that’s what I did!

Well… I did that and my turkey baster just didn’t look good, in fact I need a new one from the dollar store, so I’ll get 2, lol :joy: I did listen to that advice though. It’s very hard, in the big tent, to get to the farthest plant cause Big Bud is in the way and my body will only stretch so far…I’m managing but afraid I have too many plants. They look great with all the white flowers coming, getting excited :blush:

Thanks @Kapelady… can’t wait for some bud growth. Bit off more than I could chew with too many plants but sure learning a lot and even though I’ve run into obstacles I really love it! I miss growing outside but I like growing this inside now. Been to Canada a lot and use to be members of the Curling Club but can’t do that anymore cause of arthritis, but was really into at one point. Curious why you don’t miss Canada? What’s happening to the US… so embarrassing! Anyone who never tried weed shouldn’t be in charge of anything!:joy:

@bonnie1 this is what I use to flush

Use 2 tsp per gal
about $20
Works even better when adding the boomerang also 1-2 tsp per gal
Ph 6.5

Ok flushing is easy, as a rule of thumb it’s said to use 3x’s the size of pot. 3gal pot = 9 gal of flush
That’s for bad bad bad problems.
What I do is mix 1-2 gals of flush the first day feed that , let the pot dry out then water . If I can water and get the right run off then I continue as normal. If not then flush again in a day are so. If at that point your still don’t have the right ph then flush the full 3x’s the pot size.
Also you can get just sledgehammer and will work fine , I got boomerang because fox farm recommends it. But if money is tight like mine the sledgehammer by itself is ok.
