Drying in tent with Carbon Filter/Fan Combo?

@bob31 @Countryboyjvd1971 Good morning guys, some of my plants are happily drooping over because of heavy colas…THANKS to your mentoring. I had a problem in the tent yesterday because of the high heat and humidity in our area. Tent was 82 degrees, 60 humidity. I opened up the tent door to cool them off and promptly had to close it, the whole upstairs house stunk of weed. Next time I plant seeds, I need to time it so the lights aren’t running in the middle of the hot summer. This brings to mind my question I want to ask and didn’t really pay attention to at the time. How long are the seeds in the little pots before they go into their forever pots and go under the big grow lights. Or maybe I’m not asking the right question, how long from seed to when they just start to flower?

For photos it would be around 60 the first 30 would be sprout and seedling stages then 4week veg till you flip switch to 12-12 for the flower then you have a two transition period till they actually start flowering
Hope that helps @Bobbi
I’ll get those link for you in a few minutes

@Bobbi Once I germinate I go right into a larger size pot (actually a larger size yogurt comtainer) then at about their 5th node which is about 30 days they go into their forever home. Auto’s generally start flowering around that time so transplanting at 4th node would probably be better actually. So maybe transplant to forever at about the three week mark? Then roughly two months to finish after they start flowering.
Photo plants also take about 2 months to flower, but their veg period can be as long as you like to let the plants get bigger.

So the definitive answer is…drum roll please!!!

it all depends! lol @Bobbi @Countryboyjvd1971

Nice explanation @bob31
Autos o was told to put right into there 3 gallon forever home
I start and will finish in same pot

@bob31 @Countryboyjvd1971 Great answers, I think I will start them in the fabric bags. They actually take 5 months total from start to finish then. Thanks guys, I owe you both big time! I planted my auto WW March 15th, they are about ready now, harvested one already.

Very nice @Bobbi those are just guidelines @Bobbi Every single one of them is a bit different!

A least I’ll know not to plant them so lights are not running in summer. @bob31

Next grow try a 14/10 light schedule for veg as well sister you’ll save electric and less heat it works great plant love it

@Countryboyjvd1971 Okay, I’ll write that down and try to remember where I put my notes. Not sure how much we’ll harvest off of my plants and how often I’ll need to use it for my migraines. It could last me a long time or I could start using it for fun, who knows LOL

I also use the 14/10 lights. I may switch mine over to evening hours as well, but we’ll see.
Meds and a little fun is good lol @Bobbi hard to say how long it will last but after a while you will get a feel for that.

@bob31 Got an important question for you or @Countryboyjvd1971 or anyone who happens across this post. I took my small plant out of drying today to cure, might have left it too long, 6 days. I put my humidity thingie in the large jar with the weed and it’s really dry, 54%. I do have a 10 pack of 62% Boveda, should I put one of those in there? If so, how do you use it, just put the pack in as is, don’t open it or anything?

Just stick the pack in jar and yes you can use it to rehydrate the bud a little bit as well just burp jar twice a day for 15 mins
Which only means open the jar up @Bobbi
But it needs to be done to release gases that build up during the cure :+1: Woohoo bud in the jars

@Bobbi on that bud does the big stem bend or snap? all small stems should break now. I would jar it up and let the jar pull the moisture out of the center of the bud and check the humidity again tomorrow. You’re going to find that it went up again since being in the jar. Make sure to burp them (open the jars 2-3 times per day for 10-20 minutes and then reseal)

If you check tomorrow and it is low then you can add the pack. My bud hung in my tent for a week and was fine!

@Countryboyjvd1971 Okay, thanks for the quick reply. Will do. I was a tad disappointed with the small amount I got off the plant after taking off the sugar leafs. only 15 grams.

It happens @Bobbi they where Autos right they don’t grow as much as a photo seed but grow faster it’s a trade off and your first grow as well
You’ll get better and get more as you do :+1:

@Countryboyjvd1971 After all that work, I think I won’t buy auto’s again. If it’s only the lighting you have to be concerned about in the regular plants , I know of two guys who can help me. :stuck_out_tongue:
I just looked at some regular medical seeds, what does THC and CBD mean? What do I want for migraine pain, high or low levels of these when looking for new seeds. Maybe @bob31 knows with his back pain?

Hahahaha we got you @Bobbi
Your yields will be better. With photos
If you wanted to try some you can smoke the bud once dry FYI
Hope it helps you out with the migraines

@bob31 I just now saw your post. No, the stem never did snap, that’s why I was surprised it was so dry. I already put the Boveda pack it there.

@Bobbi I have been studying CBD and THC to try and get a better balance for my wife’s meds.

Are you looking for a good strain to help with migraines? Chocolope is one that @Niala recommends.

I can see what else might be good for migraines as well?

The two best cannabanoids for migraines is in fact THC and CBD according to “The Wheel”

Here is an interesting article to read. Lays it out in an interesting format:

@bob31 Awesome, I’ll read it. I also need to know what to buy, is feminized the same as a regular seed? I don’t want to buy auto again.
