Malibu compost I just started using that. That’s what I did the slurry test on and got the 7.8 ish ph. I also figured that would help offset the ph of the peat and coco I used. I went with a 1/3 of perlite and rice hull 1/3 compost and worm castings, like 50/50 on that and then peat and some of that fox farm 70/30

Makes sense with the pH. Like I said above, fungal dominant.
Your base do you use peat or coco or combination of both
And the worm castings ratio to compost 50/50 ?
But yes I’m sure your castings are better then the bags I get from store
The wiggle worm bag
Basic recipe
3 cft Bale peat
1 cft Bu’s
1 cft EWC
1 cft compost
2 cft Pumice
….
Thanks for the recipe I better get on this this weekend and get it cooking , I’m sure that a lot of my issue also I don’t let it cook long enough. Maybe a week thanks again. Any particular brand of compost
Whatever the feed store carries for the season. Think this year it’s Black Cow shroom for $7 cft.
Checkout BAS 3.0 soil for a sustainable base mix.
I appreciate you sharing that. I enjoy making soil and seeing the results I think it’s fascinating thanks a million.
Yes I never used Jeremy’s soil but I sure have gave it a lot of thought. I’m sure it’s pretty premo stuff. He lists all the ingredients on web and that’s what I tryed to copy this last batch I made but I got the amounts all messed up plus not letting in cook. I already have pretty much of the Down to earth line of organic fertilizers invested.
Thanks everyone
I forgot to mention I believe 1 plant has stopped growing would a flush do anything for a living soil ??
Perfect. Know the line quite well. Do you have any oyster flour to use to adjust pH currently? You have the BioLive 5-4-2 for re amends?
Generally, not so much so. The more you wet it, the more the micro heard can move, consume and release. Yes there are extremes when you do an enzyme flush.
Yes I have the OS and the acid mix I had the bio live but just used that up on the back yard. I have the Rose and flower I believe that’s a 4-8-4 and the aZomite you name it I probably have it
75 to80 percent of everything on that list is in that mix I have the plants in and the soil is only maybe 2 months old
Langbenite to provide the slow breakdown of K Mg S to the mix?
So knowing your amends now, then use a TBS of OF per pot to buffer the mix back upwards. Forget the lime. The OF seeks neutrality.
Cool beans will do tonight
Thanks
Hold up. What size pots? Pix can be deceiving.
I have no Langbenite They are 3 gallons fabric
Cut that back to 1/2 tbs OF
Roger that
