Double Mastectomy on 10/29/20

My step-daughter will undergo a double mastectomy on 10/29 due to a lump found and genetic testing. She has had several deaths due to breast cancer on her fathers side of the family.
She is 38 and has three kids, one son, two daughters. My wife and I will be with them as mom convalesces at home.
I would like to be able to offer her some sort of comfort through this time, but I’m really at a loss as to what to offer. CBD? THC? 1:1? I really don’t know what to expect.
Because of the double mastectomy, she will not have to go through Chemo or Radiation, thank God, but I don’t know what to expect. She will have pain discomfort but I don’t know what else she’ll be experiencing.
I have access to a recreational dispensary that deals in edibles, cartridges and topicals. I’ve never been there so I’m not sure exactly what they have available.
I’m open to suggestions as to what to look for if anyone wants to weigh in on this.
Thanks

My grandmother swears by my topical cream I made for her back she’s old and has spine problems as well as bone cancer I made her RSO put it into capsules she takes 2 a day and hasn’t felt this good in years from my understanding is the active cannabinoids in RSO is a little thc and a ton of CBN which is THC’s last and final form after being broken down, doesn’t get you stoned really but definitely helps with pain and what not. Ide say just about anything would help her a ton! Heard nothing bud good just gotta find what works the best for her and what she’s dealing with

I can only speak for what I know and NL knocks me out indica dominant like snek said. I really just wanted to wish you the best of luck Dad. I just lost my aunt to cancer X 3 and my mom has had 2 bouts successfully. Hard times my friend, I hope all goes well and it’s great she has a support system including you and the wife amungst the rest of the fam. If you ever need to talk anyone in here is good for it just like the warm wishes as well they all with agree. We might mostly all be stoners but pain and support is one thing we all share. I so hope we hear stories of success and happiness in the weeks to come.

After my wife’s surgery, Girl Scout cookies, purple kush and rso. The rso oil being the main one. Used rso oil pre surgery. The surgeon said one growth went from 2.5-3 centimeters to the size of a pimple. He could not give an explanation for it. Not giving any medical advice, this is how it worked out for us. I like rso oil because in my opinion it offers a longer amount of pain relief between doses.

That is an interesting article and I like that it has a recipe.
If I can ever get my hands on a pound {shaking as I type} sometime of a good strain, I will certainly look into it.
Thanks so much

@ symbol - that’s it. Select the name your looking for when you start to type from the drop down list like so @pedally make sure you have a space before and after the name.

I should mention that she DID NOT have the cancer gene so I pray the gene has run its course and not plague this family again. Amen
