Is VPD important? Does it matter?

You’ll get a lot mixed answers here on that question. Personally I don’t chase VPD numbers, I make sure that my temps and humidity are in range for the 3 different growth stages

I don’t even know how to measure it.
I just watch the plants for happy growing.
I have a thermometer and a humidity gauge.
Try not to let it get above low 80s and keep below 55% humidity during flower.
That’s about it. I already grow more that I can use so I am happy.

It matters in such that it has a range that growth is optimal. But chasing it as a definitive is almost impossible without complete control of temp and humidity.
I try and stay in an acceptable range and just enjoy the process.
